The beams and pillars of this 100-year-old house are exactly
as they were when it was built. The house has been renovated to provide guests with a comfortable stay while retaining its
original architectural style.
This is a private accommodation limited to one couple per day. Enjoy your stay with your family or your close friends.
The inn is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Nekoden, or hike to the Idakiso Shrine. Use this hotel when touring
Wakayama, a city with a good climate and good sightseeing,
and feel the warmth of the old houses.
STAY Miyabi is a pet-friendly inn where you can stay with your small dog or cat. Guests travelling with pets should make sure to read the ‘Conditions for pet accommodation’ and
‘Precautions when bringing pets’ on this page.
■Terms and conditions of accommodation
STAY Miyabi is a private accommodation facility for one couple per day. Accommodation rates do not include meals.
Accommodation rates
The same rate applies for up to three people; if four or more
people use the accommodation, an additional fee will be
charged for each additional person.
Child rate
Please include children in the number of guests in your
booking. There is no child charge.
Please inform us of the number of children and their ages at
the time of booking.
Pet accommodation fee
If you bring in the necessary tools for your pet to stay
overnight, they can stay overnight free of charge.
If you do not bring your own equipment, you will be charged
a pet accommodation fee. Please add the pet accommodation
fee for the number of pets to your booking under ‘Options’.
If you pay the pet accommodation fee, you can use a gauge,
disposable pet sheets, pet sheet trays and food/water
containers.
Please bring your own food for your pet.
About the rooms
There are a total of four rooms: two Japanese-style rooms and two Western-style rooms.
(1) 8-mat, Japanese-style room (4 sets of futons. 2 additional sets of bedding possible. Max. 6 persons)
(2) 6 tatami mats, Japanese-style room (3 sets of futons.
Maximum 3 persons)
Western-style room with 6 tatami mats (1 semi-double bed.
1 cot can be added. (1 semi-double bed, 1 cot can be added
and a sofa can be used for a maximum of 4 persons)

1 cot can be added. One futon can be added. Maximum 2
persons)

No meals are provided.
The kitchen is at your disposal. Please bring your own
condiments and foodstuffs.
Water facilities
Shower/wash: Shared with the landlord (but you will not be allowed to enter the room except through the kitchen door).

Please check in at the entrance of the establishment.
Check-in hours: 15:00-19:00
Check-out time: 11:00 - 11:00
Check-out time cannot be extended.
However, if you wish to go sightseeing in the area, it is possible to keep your luggage until 14:00 after check-out. Please
consult us at the time of booking.

The road in front of the building is narrow and cars cannot
enter the premises.
Please park once at the ‘Unloading and parking permitted’ area on the parking map (1) and have a representative come to the premises.
After unloading, please move to the ‘contracted parking area’
and park your vehicle.

■Pet accommodation conditions.
Only small dogs and cats are allowed, up to three (3) dogs
(cats).
Please inform us of the type of pet in advance. (Please inform us of the type of dog or cat in advance.)
Pets must be toilet-trained.
If not, please wear etiquette pants.
Vaccinations must be completed (we will ask you to send us a photo of the vaccination certificate in advance).
No barking.
No accommodation during heat.
The owner of the dog must be able to look after it during its
stay. (The owner of the pet must be able to take care of the pet during the stay.)
Precautions for guests with pets
Pets are not allowed in Western or Japanese-style rooms.
Pets are not allowed to sleep on beds or futons.
Pets must be isolated in the entrance hall by closing the door.
Pets can be moored outside on the wooden deck of the veranda if the weather permits (for indoor protection, please refrain
from doing this in the event of rain or strong winds).
Pets should be placed in their own carriers or gauges.
If required, a large pet fence can be placed in the entrance
hall, barn or balcony, please contact us.
■Other information.
Please note that there may be domesticated dogs in the
property.
Please note that dogs are not allowed to enter the grounds of
the guestrooms, but you may hear them whimpering. Please
be aware that the dogs are not allowed to enter the guestrooms' grounds.
On request, it is possible to play in the garden with two small dogs (French bulldog and black schnauzer). Please let us know at the time of booking if you wish to do this.
Please note that the mongrels in the photo are not accustomed to playing together.
The owner also lives in a separate building on the property.

◆Idakiso Station, Wakayama Electric Railway Kishikawa Line (10-minute walk)
The closest station to Idakiso Shrine and Roadside Station
Shikinosato Park (FOOD HUNTER PARK), where a cat station
master welcomes you.
It is also popular as a departure and arrival point for the
Kumano Kodo, a hiking trail that can be easily enjoyed and
leads to the deep mountains far to the south.
There is also a Wakayama Electric Railway train depot at
Idakiso Station, where you can watch the trains taking a rest.
◆Idakiso Shrine (11-minute walk)
This shrine is dedicated to Itakeru no Mikoto, who is
mentioned in the Chronicles of Japan as having planted trees
in Japan. The shrine is generally adored as the ‘God of Trees’
and is visited by many people involved in timber from all over
Japan.
In the Kojiki (Records of Ancient Matters), the deity is
described as Ohoyabiko no Kami, and the story is told of how
he saved the life of the deity Ohokuninushi no Kami, who had suffered a calamity. Because of this, the deity is revered as the ‘god of life’ and the ‘god of misfortune’, and many people visit
the shrine to pray for the healing of illnesses and for protection from misfortune.

◆ Cominca Cafe A Day (5-minute walk)
An old house café popular for its hamburgers and other
lunches, as well as pancakes and other sweets. Located
between the Idakiso Shrine and this facility, it is recommended to take a break after visiting the shrine.
◆Agricultural products direct sales shop Fresh Village
(5-minute walk)
A direct sales outlet for Wakayama specialities such as
mandarin oranges, peaches and bamboo charcoal. The Imo
Hatake Restaurant attached to the agricultural products shop
is very popular with locals, and its hearty lunches are often
sold out by mid-morning.
