【About Azumaya Somabito Fuurin】
The name of the inn reads "Azumaya Somabito Fuurin."
A somabito is a person who cuts trees from the mountain. He is a woodcutter. Why don't you stay at Azumaya Somabito Fuurin and experience mountain life?


We started this inn after 5 years of DIY renovation of a Japanese-style house with a tiled roof (our home) with the desire to provide a place where you and your pet (dog) can spend a relaxing time in nature. Dogs are welcome to stay indoors. There is no charge for pets.


We provide a dog run, camping site, BBQ (outside, BBQ hut), and other facilities to make your stay enjoyable. You can also enjoy our tent sauna.


Driving southwest from the center of Nanto City in Toyama Prefecture, along a rural road lined with rice paddies, you will eventually reach a village at the entrance to the mountains. If you continue on from here, you will enter a deep mountain. In such a place, you will find the "Shia, Soma, and Fuburin". From your room, you will see rice paddies and the lush greenery of the mountains. Please enjoy a relaxing and leisurely stay.


Please use our rooms for a family or group trip or stay for up to 10 people. Solo guests are also welcome. Please feel free to stay with us.




■Accommodation Plan
Meals are not included in the room charge. Overnight stay without meals is the basic rule.
Please let us know which bedroom you would like to use when you make a reservation (we may not be able to meet your request depending on availability).


[Bedrooms]
Western-style room "Somaki 杣木" on the 1st floor: 2 single beds (or 2 sets of futons), air conditioner, lockable
Western-style room "Somayama 杣山" on the 1st floor: 6 single beds, no air conditioner (fan in summer, kerosene heater in winter), no key
Western-style room "Somamichi 杣道" on the 2nd floor: 2 single beds (or 2 sets of futons), air conditioning, no key.


You can choose between beds or futons for double occupancy. Please let us know your preference when you make a reservation. If there is no preference, the beds will be used.


■About children's rates
* Children under 4 years old without bedding are free of charge. Please inform us at the time of reservation.
* Children under 4 years old who use bedding are charged the same rate as adults. Please include them in the number of guests in your reservation.


■About the rooms
《Azumaya Somabito Fuurin》is a two-story building.
A caretaker (landlord) is on duty on the first floor. Please feel free to ask for help if you have any problems (however, please refrain from entering without permission).

- Wood stove is available for guest use, free of charge, from November to April.

[2nd floor]
* Private room for 2 people (bedroom, Western-style room: 2 single beds or 2 sets of futons, 9.6㎡)


[Kitchen]
The kitchen in the facility is equipped with basic cooking utensils, seasonings, and tableware. You can use it to cook during your stay. The kitchen is shared with other guests.


[BBQ]
We will provide equipment rental and set up/break down for a fee.




■Check-in and check-out
Check-in is available from 3:00 p.m.
* The landlord will be available for check-in.
* Late night check-in is also possible. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival in advance.


Guests who have applied for a barbecue can check in earlier than 3:00 p.m. Guests are not allowed to enter their rooms, but luggage storage space will be provided.


Please check-out by 10:00.
* The landlord will be available for check-out.
* Early morning check-out is possible. Please let us know your departure time at least one day before your departure.

■Activities to make your stay more enjoyable

◎Barbecue (anyone can apply)
Fee: 6,000 yen per set for up to 4 people
We will provide chairs, tables, grills, charcoal, firewood, plates, chopsticks, and other necessary items for the number of people, from preparation to cleanup. Please bring your own food and drinks.
Please reserve 2 sets for 5 or more people or 3 sets for 9 or more people.


◎Dog run (free of charge)
Barbecue is available in the dog run. (*A separate barbecue fee will be charged.)


◎Tent sauna (currently suspended, scheduled to reopen in spring 2023)
Fee: 12,000 yen/day, up to 4 persons
Tent sauna for 4 people. Relaxation chairs, tables, firewood, etc. are provided for the number of people using the sauna. We will provide everything from preparation to take-down.


The tent is set up next to a natural clear stream, so you can go directly into the river after sweating. (For example, the day after a heavy rain, the water becomes muddy and the volume of water rises.) Even if you make a reservation in advance, there may be days when it is not available. Please understand this in advance.




■Access
For your convenience during your stay, we recommend that you come by car.
* It takes about 50 minutes by car from Toyama Airport.
* Approximately 40 minutes by car from Shin-Takaoka Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line.
* About 15 minutes by car from "Fukumitsu Station" of JR Johata Line.
* About 10 minutes by car from "Fukumitsu IC" of Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway.


Less than 1 hour drive from famous sightseeing spots
* About 30 minutes by car from the World Heritage Site "Gokayama Gassho Zukuri Village".
* Approximately 45 minutes by car to Kanazawa's Kenrokuen Garden.




Supermarkets and convenience stores nearby
There are no supermarkets or convenience stores within walking distance. The nearest supermarket and convenience store are 12-15 minutes away by car. Please purchase groceries before you come.

Sakuraga-ike Park 桜ヶ池公園(10 minutes by car)
A park with boats for rent and outdoor playground equipment for children.


Fukumitsu Onsen 福光温泉 (2 minutes by car)
If you want to enjoy hot springs during your stay, this is the place to go. The facilities are old but clean. Reasonable rates (500 yen).


Nanto Ski Resort IOX-AROSA (about 12 minutes by car)
A ski resort where you can enjoy a dog run, park golf, and gondola even in the summer season.


Tachinohara Kanko Nouen Strawberry Picking (10 minutes by car)
Visitors can enjoy strawberry picking in May~June.
