DESCRIPTION
At Farm Stay Umemura, you can immerse yourself in the charm of rural life with an entire traditional Japanese home reserved exclusively for one group per day. The spacious guest rooms include two tatami rooms (14 tatami mats and 6 tatami mats), perfect for families or groups to relax and enjoy their stay together.
In the garden surrounded by nature, you can enjoy a BBQ—rain or shine, thanks to a sheltered area. Bringing your own ingredients is welcome, and fireworks are also allowed. During summer, a spring water–filled pool for children is set up, ensuring fun for both kids and adults.
Right next to the inn, you’ll find the host family and their cats, giving you a glimpse into authentic farm life. From March to October, you can also participate in an asparagus harvesting experience (extra fee).
Nearby attractions include Kiwatake Onsen, the famous Imari-yaki pottery village of Okawachiyama, Karatsu Castle, and Ureshino Onsen. Huis Ten Bosch theme park and the aquarium “Umi Kirara” are also within about an hour’s drive, making this an ideal base for sightseeing.
