We have taken over the wishes of my grandfather, who loved the Ashi area and was always on good terms with the people here,
We have opened an inn that can only accommodate one couple per day, in order to create a place where smiles can gather.
We would be happy to show visitors around the local satoyama and other aspects of the area.
There are beautiful photo spots of terraced rice fields, hot spring facilities, and walking trails in the surrounding area.

◎About “Oashi Plateau Irori no Oyado zen
This is an old private house located in the place where my grandfather, who loved the Ashi area, was born and raised.
It is a one-room rental facility with an open hearth inside, and has a very charming atmosphere.
You can also enjoy a bonfire outside.
Nearby there is a walking course, a pond, an observatory, and terraced rice fields, so you can feel the richness of nature.
For a bath, we will take you to “Oshikogen Onsen Unkai,” a hot spring facility about a 5-minute walk away.
Please relax in the spacious facility.

Basic cooking utensils and tableware are provided, so please use them freely.
BBQ stove (for 4-5 people), charcoal, tongs, and 4 outdoor chairs are also provided.

We have 8 tatami mat rooms (capacity for 4 people) and 4 tatami mat rooms (capacity for 2 people),
Up to 6 people can stay in a room together.

Ashihara Kogen is a plateau located at an altitude of 500 meters and surrounded by beautiful nature and pine forests.
It is a highland resort with hot spring water pumped up from 1,500m below the lake at its core.
●About the Owner
I moved to the Kaminoyama area more than 10 years ago. My family consists of my wife, two small children, and a dog (beagle).
My hobbies and skills are soccer, cooking, hunting, and growing rice.
I live just a short walk away, so please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

Chofukuji Temple 15 min. by car
The oldest wooden building in Okayama.
Chofuku-ji Temple, which became a Shingon sect temple in the Meitoku era (around 1350), is said to have been founded in the Nara era (757) by the Tang Dynasty high priest Ganjin, and was originally located on the top of Mt. However, due to repeated fires, the temple was moved to its current location.
The 22-meter-high three-story pagoda, which conveys the architectural style of the Kamakura period (1185-1333), was built in the middle of the Kamakura period (1185-1333) by the Tendai sect's priest Engen.

The oldest existing “public school for common people” in Japan.
In 1670, Ikeda Mitsumasa, feudal lord of Okayama, founded Japan's first “public school for the common people.
