Oku-Asuka Old House Rental Yasaka

About the Rooms
Yasaka is a fully renovated 250 year old minka (traditional Japanese house) for rent. It is located in Asuka, the birthplace of Japan.
It is located in the Kayanomori area surrounded by mountains.
A five-minute drive away are the famous Ishibutai Kofun Tomb and the terraced rice fields of Inabuchi, selected as one of the best 100 terraced rice fields in Japan.
The warmth of the wooden old houses, the murmuring of the river, and the singing of birds will soothe you. You can spend a relaxing time in this nature-rich environment.

Activities such as barbecues, bonfires, tent saunas, and cycling are also available for a glamping-like experience.

Dinner is not provided. The kitchen in the old house is fully equipped for self-catering.
BBQ ingredients or one-pot meals can be provided upon request.
Please let us know at least 2 days in advance. (4,500 yen per person).
Breakfast is not provided. Please prepare your own food as you did for dinner.
Or, Japanese or Western food can be served upon request (2,500 yen per person). (2,000 yen per person)

Our staff will be there for check-in and check-out.
We do not provide cleaning or bed making service for consecutive nights.

* All BBQ equipment (charcoal BBQ grill, grill net, outdoor table, outdoor chairs, BBQ cooking utensils) are available for rent free of charge.
* In case of rain, we will set up a flame-retardant tarp tent for those who wish to use it.
* You can also enjoy a bonfire in the fire pit (fire pit).
* Charcoal and firewood can be prepared by yourself or sold at the inn.

* Bathrooms are made of natural Japanese nutmeg tree(榧 カヤ) wood.

◯Activities (All activities must be booked at least 3 days in advance.)
* Rental bicycle (with motorized power): 1,500 yen per day　
* We also offer guided tours for ¥5,000/3 hours per person, including bike rental (with motorized power).
* Tent sauna (4-person type): 20,000 yen for 3 hours
* Includes 4 infinity chairs, firewood, lauh set, and mineral water.
* Forest bathing experience + aromatic water making experience: 3 hours, 5,000 yen per person
* You can enjoy a retreat in Asuka forest and make aromatic water from recommended trees and leaves to take home.

◯Other Special Notes
* Check-in time is after 3:00 pm
* Check-out time is by 11:00 am
* Early check-in is available from 1:00 p.m. for a fee (15,000 yen per couple). (15,000 yen per couple).
* Luggage can be checked in ahead of time on the day of check-in. Please contact us at least one day in advance.

* Smoking is not permitted in the building. Smoking is allowed in the garden.
* Insects may enter the building because of its proximity to the mountains. If you are concerned about this, please bring your own insect repellent. We have insect repellant spray made from natural ingredients.
* Fireworks are not allowed at the inn. Please refrain from lighting fireworks on the nearby riverbanks, as this is a very quiet rural village.
* Please refrain from lighting bonfires and BBQs outdoors after 9:00 p.m.
* Please refrain from making loud noises at night. Please refrain from loud parties and loud music at night.
* Only docomo phone lines are available in the vicinity of the inn.
