This was the home of an elderly couple who traveled to 52 countries over the course of a decade. They traveled the world, collecting furniture and building materials from each country, in search of a suitable place to spend the last days of their lives.
Their final destination wasn't Venice, Sicily, Monaco, or Cancun, but Ise-Shima National Park, which was featured in the advertising photos for the Ise-Shima G7 Summit.
Struck by the sunsets they could see from atop the hill, the couple decided to build a home there.
The wife designed the house herself and it took six years to complete, and it's filled with beautiful furnishings they'd collected on their travels.

The land and home where they would spend the last days of their lives offered a breathtaking view, reminiscent of an overseas resort.
