Truly an amazing experience! We are three American girls who didn’t speak Japanese so we were a bit worried about the language barrier, but Moto-san and Yasuko-san made the stay so wonderful and warm. First, the house is very beautiful. We loved laying on the tatami floor and playing with the goats in the backyard. They curated a schedule for everyday of our stay, which was so fun! Yasuko-san’s cooking was out of this world. Every meal was made with care and was delicious. Every evening, Moto-san would sit with us and chat while drinking a variety of Japanese beer and homemade plum wine. They were also so kind to let us try on traditional kimono and drive a real-life farm tractor! We got to escape the city for a bit and truly experience Japanese culture. I don’t think our trip to Japan would have been complete without our stay. It was definitely definitely the best part of our Japan travels.
