About us [ Taendon Farm Stay ]
We live in Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture, where it is relatively warm all year round and is known as a "good place to live" with both the sea and mountains, where quiet and peaceful time flows.
In the past, the area was known as the "Nagasa Plain," along with its rich soil and mild weather.
The Oyama Senmaida rice field, famous as the closest terraced rice field to Tokyo. It has a history of producing rice to be presented to Emperor Meiji. Don't forget to visit the nearby famous aquarium as well!
We are located in the mountains, a short distance from the city of Kamogawa. The house is a 130-year-old private house that has been used as a farmhouse.
Surrounded by rice fields, fields, and mountains, there is no obstruction to the view creating an old-fashioned landscape called "satoyama.
There are only a few streetlights, so people from the city may be surprised to see them.
From spring to autumn, the night is dark and the sound of insects and frogs can be heard in the darkness.
In the winter, when the air is clearer, many stars twinkle in the sky.
We also offer welcome sweets such as cookies, pudding, and jam. (These are also sold at cafes in the city!)
We also grow citrus fruits such as tangerines and lemons, and plums on our property, so if the season is right, you may be able to taste sweets containing these fruits.
There is also a convenience store nearby, as well as Minaminosato, an exchange complex operated by MUJI.
