This area is affectionately called "Tatsuya Village," meaning that both residents and visitors can become "tatsuya" in mind and body. Through interaction with visitors, we aim to become "the most interesting village in Japan," and you can enjoy the minshuku life while listening to local stories.
Senbei soup, a local specialty, is a stew of meat, fish, mushrooms, vegetables, and other ingredients in a pot with cracked Nanbu senbei crackers.
The crackers, made especially for stewing, do not melt and have a chewy texture, making them a perfect match for the broth in the pot, which contains the flavor of the other ingredients.

■Event: "Nagawa Agricultural Tourist Information Center" is a log house with an impressive tongari roof, which provides information and accepts applications for many agricultural experience menus. In Nanbu-cho, which boasts of being one of the best-known "fruit tree villages" and "agricultural tourism towns" in the prefecture, visitors can enjoy year-round agricultural experiences such as cherry blossom viewing in spring, cherry picking in early summer, peach picking in summer, grape, prune, and apple picking in fall, and pruning and strawberry picking in winter.
