We love the house so much that we spend a lot of time inside, rather than wandering in streets of samurai
residential area. The house is so beautiful, all the interiors are so elegant, full of details and history, well organized and maintained. We feel like living in a museum full of antiques, like in dreams. The location is right in the center of the samurai residential area. So you can appreciate the full blossoms of sakura from the house. When people passed by, everyone looked at us with curiosity ( or even enviousness, as if they asked why these guys can live in such a lovely house!) We all felt a little bit sad when checked out, that we should have stay for more nights!
And the host family are super nice and generous with hospitality! They even invite us to their garden after checked out. This is definately the most beautiful memory during our trip! DESCRIPTION
1 minute walk to Samurai Mansion Street. It is a great location to fully enjoy Kakunodate(角館).
The first floor has a living room, bath, kitchen, toilet, and 1 western-style room (2 single beds), and the 2nd floor has 2 Japanese-style rooms (4 futons). It can accommodate up to 6 people.
From any room, the drooping cherry blossoms, dark green, and autumn leaves look beautiful.
In addition, it is a 10-minute walk to the hot spring "Kakunodate Onsen" Convenience stores and restaurants are also nearby.
With the theme of mice and cats, the Taisho Roman-style building is meticulous in detail and will delight guests.

Thank you for the high evaluation and very nice comments. Kakunodate is the most rural area in Japan, but it still has a good old atmosphere. 今回も楽しく快適に過ごせました
２年ぶり２度目の利用でしたが、前回同様に快適に過ごせました。
大変良い立地のため、高齢の家族も無理なく観光出来て助かりました。
日中25度近い暖かい日だった事もあって夜間も宿の部屋着だけで快適に過ごせたので、用意されてあった毛布は不要でした。
２階への階段が少し急なのと、お手洗いは１階に一つだけで、１階にはいくつか段差があるので、脚の不自由な方などの利用は事前の相談が無難と思います。
とても気さくで素敵なオーナー夫妻が相談にのってくれます。

当宿は古家を9割以上自らリノベーションした建物です。階段とトイレの位置は殆ど以前のままです。そのため、階段がやや急になっています。また段差もいくつかあります。高齢者の方は1階のシングルベットを利用して頂いた方が良いかと思います。予約の時にご相談ください。

角館、秋田県の中でぜひ泊まってほしい場所です。
4/20に家族で伺い、最高でした。
宿はレトロな一軒家で中は猫やネズミの小物がたくさんあり、ランプや窓ガラス一つだけ見ても、とってもデザインがかわいい素敵なお宿です。
小物やグッズがたくさんあり、広いお宿にも関わらず綺麗に掃除されていてとても気持ちよく過ごせます。
宿の中だけでなく、外には武家屋敷や桜が見えて立地も最高です。
家族も最高の宿だと絶賛していました。
また、オーナーご夫婦がとにかく気さくで素敵な方です。
駅まで迎えに来てくださったり、近くのおすすめのお店を教えてくれたり、荷物を預かってくれるなど気配りもいただきました。
チェックアウト後にも事務所のオープンガーデンでおもてなしくださり、ご夫婦の楽しいお話が聞けて素敵な旅の思い出となりました。

素敵なお宿
初めて角館の桜を見に、仲良しのお友だちと旅行に行きました。宿泊が一組限定の宿はとても素敵で、チェックインからテンションアゲアゲになりました。宿の場所も桜を見るには絶好の場所で、とても良かったです。その分朝早くに桜を見に来た人の話声が少し気になりましたが、場所が場所だけにしょうがないと思いました。とても素敵なお宿だったので、また違う季節に行きたいと思います。

Very friendly homestay
We are unable to speak Japanese but the friendly host can use translator to communicate with us. Very cozy atmosphere and great value to have our own house. The parking is just next to the house, so it is quite suitable for those who self drive to stay~
