We stayed for two nights in this delightful and very stylish house. Our host was very kind and helpful, and the house was located just a very short distance from the main street where the samurai residences are located. Everything that you could want is available in the house, and it has a distinctive traditional Japanese "feel". The beds are comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom facilities are very well set up. Our host welcomed and farewelled us. Our stay here was certainly a highlight of our three-week trip to Japan!

DESCRIPTION
1 minute walk to Samurai Mansion Street. It is a great location to fully enjoy Kakunodate.
The first floor has a living room, bath, kitchen, toilet, and 1 Western-style room (2 single beds), and the 2nd floor has 2 Japanese-style rooms (4 futons). It can accommodate up to 6 people. From any room, the drooping cherry blossoms, dark green, and autumn leaves look beautiful.
In addition, it is a 10-minute walk to the hot spring "Kakudate Onsen" Convenience stores and restaurants are also nearby.
With the theme of mice and cats, the Taisho Roman-style building is meticulous in detail and will delight guests.

Enchanting stay
The kind and charming hosts made sure we had all the best information for exploring the town (inc a great dinner recommend). The enchanting interior is a treasure trove of collectibles and curiosities. The bedding was cosy and the chic upstairs room had magnificent morning light. Highly recommended.

とっても可愛いお家と親切なオーナーご夫婦
二階建ての日本家屋がとても綺麗にリフォームされていて、おしゃれなタイルやランプ、家中の隅々までこだわって飾り付けられていてとても可愛いお家です。
ベッドやキッチン、お風呂、アメニティーまで全てが揃っていて快適に過ごせました。
はじめに優しいオーナーご夫婦が家の中を案内してくださり、角館の見どころなど教えて頂きました。
自転車を2台貸してくださり、場所も武家屋敷観光にとても便利な位置にあります。

タイムスリップ？
外観はもちろん、ドアを開けた途端、タイムスリップしたような感覚に襲われました。
とにかく、全てがため息の出る物、仕様ばかり。
ステンドグラスの灯、至る所にあるタイル梁。
昔、タバコ屋で使っていたというガラスケースが、センスよく、何の違和感もなく置かれていました。
模様の入った陶器で作られている和式の便器を、工夫を凝らし、花を飾っていたり。（発想がステキ）
オーナーの人柄もとてもよく、一泊２日、とても楽しい旅となりました。
又、絶対利用したいです。
