Best experience we had in Japan

We had the most amazing experience at our farmstay with Sayoko. After picking us up from the train station, she showed us around her farm and cooked the most delicious dinner. The next day, she drove us around town and brought us to see some of the highlights in the area. Sayoko was so kind and works so hard to make us feel like family. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to come back soon.

Nakajima-san is an amazing host!

We were treated to a wonderful dinner and relaxing evening in the mountains by Nakajima-san. She is an energetic, caring, and fun host! We appreciate her meals - they were prepared with great home-cooking - really delicious. We look forward to returning someday!

Freshly made dishes from the mountains

Staying at the Nakajima Farm House was a great idea. If you wanna feel the japanese Countryside you should definitely consider to stay for a weekend there. They will feed you with delicious things right out of the garden or the mountains itself. The rooms are clean and spacious and the old ladies try their best for your pleasant stay.

Retreat in the Mountains of Mima

One of the best experiences I've had in Japan so far--and I've been here four times and counting. Nakajima-san and her sister welcomed me with open arms to their home in the mountains of Mima. I also accidentally booked my dates incorrectly, but Nakajima-san was so flexible in letting me come a day early with no notice at all.

Nakajima-san's home is on a farmstead that her family has owned for generations where they grow peppers, tomatoes, Japanese greens and tea, and she treats you like her own family. The food was all homemade and delicious--I ate tempura, okonomiyaki, grilled fish, and soba gome (a traditional Tokushima dish) in my two-night stay there. Nakajima-san even picked me up at the train station and took me to the bus stop the next day. She is truly a genuine and kind person who loves meeting people and welcoming them to her home. She decided to start hosting people at her home six years ago--it's been her dream to do so.

About the property: There's two buildings on the property--a traditional tatami mat home, and a recently built modern building, both very clean. Bathrooms are shared. This stay is perfect both for tourists who want a country-side experience in Japan and remote workers or digital nomads who want a reprieve from city life and have homemade meals cooked for them and wonderful company in the evening.

I highly recommend and want to go back there soon!
