Some mornings, the valley below fills with clouds and you're left standing above them.
Most mornings, the air just feels different — clean, still, and a little bit like time has slowed down.
Yuzu-no-sato Izumi is a family-run farmstay tucked into the mountain village of Kuchiyama, Mima.
We opened our home because we wanted more people to experience what life here actually feels like.
■ Please read before booking
- This is a homestay-style farmstay — you'll be staying under the same roof as your host, not renting the whole house.
- The harvest season for yuzu is from October to November. Keep in mind that they aren't available year-round.
- The base rate is room-only (no meals included). Dinner, breakfast, and experiences are available as add-on options — please book them separately.
- You're welcome to bring your own alcohol. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, so please stock up on drinks and essentials near Anabuki Station before heading up.
- Pick-up is available from JR Anabuki Station and Wakimachi Bus Stop — just let us know when you book.
■ About the stay
No traffic lights. No convenience stores. No noise.
Just mountains, starry skies, and the kind of quiet that genuinely restores you.
Izumi is the rare kind of place that feels like home even when it isn't yours — unhurried, warm, and looked after with real care.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
■ Food (add-on options)
Dinner features Tokushima's beloved soul food — sobagome-jiru, a warming porridge made with buckwheat grains — alongside seasonal vegetables straight from the garden.
In the morning, breakfast is served around the irori (traditional sunken hearth), a setting that's hard to forget.
For groups of 5 or more, a pizza-making experience is also available — choose your own toppings and fire it up yourself.
All meals and experiences require separate add-on booking.
Menu content varies by season.
■ Farm experiences (add-on option)
Head out to the fields and harvest vegetables by hand. Tools are provided free of charge, and rubber boots are available for adults (please bring your own for children).

Very warm welcome. Nice location and view. Great diner and breakfast. Nothing to complain of. Definitely highly recommanded

Every aspect of the stay was enjoyable, all the way from the accommodation set up to the food and farm experience. The host was very personable in answering all our questions and sharing her experiences, going out of the way to make sure we were comfortable and considerate in giving us our personal space.

The owner is very nice and caring. We left the farm house early for hiking, she prepared toast and coffee for us before we left, and made us bento to-go. The house is very clean and tidy, we had a very good sleep there! Would like to go back again if I visit the area next time.
房東熱情,晚餐和早餐都美味和豐富,又介紹我們去看花火大會,是意外驚喜。
