Farm Stay at Yuzu House

We had an incredible stay here. It may have been our favorite time of all of our time in Japan! We loved our host, the farm, and the food. The farm is 20 minutes from town up a windy road, and is beautiful and full of yuzu trees. We picked vegetables from the garden for dinner, and I think the dinner our host made was the best meal we had in Japan! She also was so kind in making all meals gluten-free for me, even though it's difficult to cook without soy sauce. The next day she drove us to see the Udatsu Townscape and showed us around because she wanted to make sure that we have a good experience. We spent the rest of the day reading and relaxing on the beautiful farm, eating and enjoying each others company. Using Google Translate we were able to have great conversations. I highly highly recommend this stay!

寒い季節に宿泊させていただきました。
感染対策もしっかりされており、とても清潔な古民家でした。
優しいお出汁でいただけるそば米や田楽など地元ならではの美味しいお料理を囲炉裏端でいただけて特別な時間を過ごすことが出来ました。
寝具も底冷えしないようマットが重ねてあったり、囲炉裏端も暖かく足をのばせるよう工夫があったりと隅々まで細かいお気遣いがあります。
忘れ物をした際にも丁寧な対応をいただき、最後まであたたかいおもてなしに家族みな喜んでおりました。ありがとうございました。

里芋のお味噌汁や卵焼き、茄子の田楽、すべて美味しかったです。酢の物はあまり得意でないんですが、酢の加減がちょうどよく美味しく頂けました。おかわりもさせてもらえて、本当の親戚やおばあちゃんみたいでした。部屋も暖かく、人の家ですが布団も嫌な匂いもせず、気持ち良い時間が過ごせました。

We had a great time at Farmers House, picking Yuzu and also wild mushrooms as part of the farming activities. The food prepared by the host is delicious. The host took great care of us and I am truly thankful for that. I wish I was able to speak more Japanese so that we could talk all day and listen to her stories.
We enjoyed the relaxing environment and we are hoping to visit again during other seasons.

何度も行きたい、ゆずの里 いづみ
10月中旬の台風の時に両親と息子と姪と五人で宿泊させて頂きました。
台風で天気も悪く不安でしたが
沖川さんが、笑顔で出迎えてくれた瞬間に来て良かった！と思いました。お部屋はとても広く清潔感があり、落ち着きました。
芝生のお庭と沢山の柚子の木、色々な作物が育つ畑と、広大な景色を眺めながらのブランコ！本当に楽しく、のんびり過ごせました。
沖川さんの美味しい料理を頂きながら、色々なお話を聞くことができ、癒しの時間でした。明るくサービス精神旺盛で心温まる接客でしたので、何日も滞在したいと思いました。また会いに行きます！お世話になりました。
