About 〖 Ebisuya Guesthouse〗.
Minobusan Kuonji Temple is known as the head temple of the Nichiren sect of Japanese Buddhism closest to the Kanto region.
Located in the south of Yamanashi Prefecture, the Minobusan area has been home to the Kanto region's largest group of lodging houses since ancient times (800 years).
The hotel is located along the river on the left after passing through the main gate. The building was renovated from the old house of the Mochizuki family, the wealthiest family in Minobusan.
The house is a 90-year-old pure Japanese mansion with a glimpse of the craftsmanship and the owner's passion and yearning for the West.
By incorporating sophisticated modernism, it has been reborn as a modern Japanese architecture that combines calmness and dignity with design. A cross of light and shadow, Japanese and Western, harmonizing with the air of a sacred place, the hotel is a place where you can relax and unwind.
We offer a wide range of services, from luxury travel accommodations to hospitality and conference areas.
The interiors are decorated in the same style as the "Ranma" (transoms) created by the same carver who created the "Old Shoin" on Minobusan, which is designated as a cultural asset.
The interior is also decorated with Taisho glass, round windows, muntins, reed doors, and a coffered ceiling.
The building is a treasure house of art.
From the Taisho glass porch, which symbolizes the museum, you can hear the sound of swaying trees and the river.
You can also enjoy the view of our private Japanese garden.
This place is surrounded by the clean air and nature of Minobusan Kuonji Temple.
