〜Welcome to 「Farm Inn Ueno House」〜

With the wish to share the wonderful nature of Atsumi Onsen where we were born and raised, and the food culture passed down through generations by the efforts and dedication of our predecessors, and to pass it on to the next generation, we opened our home as a farm inn in May 2021.

This is a farmhouse inn that values “hands-on experiences and交流,” where guests can enjoy agricultural experiences and shared cooking experiences (mainly local cuisine).

■ Atsumi Onsen and the surrounding area
With a history of 1,200 years, Atsumi Onsen is a hot spring resort blessed with the natural beauty of the sea, mountains, and rivers, and has long been loved by many visitors.
The Shonai region is surrounded by mountains and the sea, and its unique geography and climate nurture blessings from both land and ocean, fostering a rich food culture with delicious ingredients throughout all four seasons.
At 「Farm Inn Ueno House」, located along the Atsumi River, you can experience hot springs, nature activities, farming experiences, cooking with seasonal local ingredients, and交流 with local people, enjoying a stay that offers something different from ordinary sightseeing trips.

＜About bathing＞
For bathing, we will guide you to a nearby communal bath with free-flowing natural hot spring water.
Please enjoy the hot, natural onsen straight from the source.
Bathing fees are not included.
This is a facility also used by local residents. Please observe proper manners.

＜About meals＞
・Guests who wish to have dinner will join the host for the “Shared Cooking Experience,” where you cook together and dine together.
　If you wish to participate, please purchase the 【Shared Cooking Experience】 option for the required number of people × number of nights.
・Guests who do not wish to have dinner will be introduced to nearby restaurants.

【Ramen-making Experience】
A hands-on ramen-making experience you can enjoy at home.
From making noodles and soup to preparing toppings, the host—who holds a chef’s license and a food education instructor certification—will guide you in a fun and easy way.
・Participation limit: Up to 6 people (Families with children are very welcome)
〈Experience contents〉
・Making ramen noodles from scratch
・Preparing broth, seasoned eggs, and chashu pork
・Enjoying the ramen you made yourself

【Local Cuisine Shared Cooking Experience (Dinner Preparation)】
Let’s cook and enjoy together the seasonal local cuisine of Tsuruoka, a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
You can prepare and enjoy together with the host more than 200 years of inherited “local cuisine,” “festival food,” and “vegetarian Buddhist dishes,” while sharing stories.
・Participation limit: Up to 6 people (Families with children are very welcome)

・Recipe explanation after check-in
・Shared cooking of seasonal local dishes
・Enjoying a traditional “one soup and three dishes” meal together

In addition, we offer various seasonal experiences such as farming activities, cooking experiences, and fishing.
