The building is a nationally registered Japanese cultural property that retains its architectural style from the late Edo period to the early Showa period and reminds us of the culture of the Wakasa Valley area.

[Covid-19 Preventative Measures ]
Oota-tei will make every effort to ventilate the room as much as possible by opening the windows and operating the ventilation fans. Oota-tei takes thorough health care measures such as wearing masks, disinfecting hands, and gargling. We ask for your cooperation in wearing masks, disinfecting your hands, and gargling when you enter the building. Please note that we may also ask for your cooperation in taking your temperature.
Experience and various events:
Make 100 mochis using a large mortar and a wooden hammer.
Price: from 40,000 yen per group, you can have mochi for breakfast if you decide to do this experience in the morning.

- BBQ Event (Night time is OK):
A 20-person BBQ grill that can be rented for 1,000 yen or more per unit. You can bring in your food for the BBQ if you let us know at least 3 days before the event. Charcoal can be purchased at Oota-tei or brought prior. (This can be done on the day of the event) The BBQ will be held in the multi-purpose plaza. In case of rain, the BBQ can be held in a covered area inside the house. If you would like to have a BBQ event, please choose from the options below.
We will cut out natural bamboo from the neighborhood and make a somen-nagashi stand for you to enjoy. The fee will vary depending on the number of participants and the length of the sink. Please inquire at the time of reservation. Please pay the fee at the site.
It is possible to hold a mini-concert. Please pay all fees on site.
A variety of events can be held in the multipurpose hall, which used to. be a former rice warehouse. The multipurpose hall is equipped with a 100-inch screen and 5.1-channel surround sound audio speakers. (Usage fee: from 1,000 yen/day including tax)
There is also a bar counter, that you can arrange for your drinks and a personal bartender. Please reserve this in the options section.
