Guesthouse Nishiki was built in 1901 during the Meiji Era. At that time, it was named “Nikiya” and was actually a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn). The building has been renovated since then, and re-opened recently as a guest house.
The word “Nishiki” designates a silk fabric woven with several colorful threads. Applied to our guesthouse, it symbolizes the gathering of people of all nationalities, ages and beliefs.
We’re looking forward to hosting you. Together, let’s write the history of Nishiki!

・The guesthouse is a former ryokan (traditional hotel) that was established in 1901. We made some renovation works, but please understand that since the building is old it’s not perfectly soundproof, some stairs are steep and small bugs sometimes come in.
It’s not recommended to people looking for a modern, concrete-built hotel.
・We can store your luggage until check-in time, but please contact us beforehand.
・There is no curfew, but please be careful not to disturb the neighbors if you’re coming back late in the evening.
・Guests staying more than 1 night are free to leave and enter the guesthouse as they please. Enjoy your time here, and take the opportunity to make new and friendly encounters!
