Outline of the property
 The Shakucha district of Ogi City, Saga Prefecture, has long been protected by the inhabitants of the village as a place where many gods reside.
 It has been protected by the inhabitants of the village for a long time.
 The spring water from Mt. Tenzan is known as a famous water source, and the sake produced by the Tenzan Sake Brewery at the foot of the mountain is highly regarded overseas.
 
 It is also known as a famous spot for fireflies and is visited by many people in June when the fireflies dance wildly.

 The guest house is an old private residence over 100 years old, located a little way up from the foot of the mountain.
 The quiet environment will soothe your mind and make you feel at peace. The air and water are clean and clear, as the gods are said to reside here.
 Just taking a light walk around the area and admiring the scenery is enjoyable.

 The hotel also has a farmhouse restaurant.
 We offer a menu using ingredients from our own vegetable garden and the local area.
 It is only available for lunch, so please try it.

 There are one Japanese-style room and two Western-style rooms to choose from.
 (The two Western-style rooms are located in a separate building.
 Restrooms are located in the main building.
 The bathrooms are located in the main building.
 The baths are available at the hotel, but there is also a hot spring "Kaisenkaku" at the foot of the mountain, which you are welcome to use.

 We also respect the privacy of our guests during their stay.
 Please be assured that we will not interfere more than necessary.

Sightseeing spots

  The entire plateau at the top of the mountain is designated as a prefectural natural park.
  The flat summit, which stretches 4 km from east to west, is very suitable for beginners in mountain climbing.
  It takes about 30 minutes on foot from the parking lot.
  Along the way, you can find boxwoods and azaleas growing in clusters, and many alpine plants.
  There are also many alpine plants to be found.
  The view from the top of the mountain is of the Saga Plain, Ariake Sea, Mt.
  The Genkai Sea can be seen to the north. The best time to visit is from spring to autumn.

Ogi Park

  Ogi Park has been selected as one of the top 100 historical parks in Japan.
  Ogi Park is the only park in Saga Prefecture to be selected as one of the 100 best places to view cherry blossoms (by the Japan Cherry Blossom Association).
  The park is also home to 25,000 azaleas and a 350-year-old Inumaki (Japanese cedar) tree that boasts an area of 30 tatami mats(pretty huge).
  There are many places to visit.

Kiyomizu Waterfall

  The waterfall is located upstream of the Kiyomizu River, which is one of the 100 best waters in Japan.
  It is also called "Tamasudare no Taki" (Waterfall of Tamasudare). 13m wide and 75m drop, it flows vertically down the cliff.

Fireflies in the Gion River

  Every year from the end of May to the beginning of June, Genji fireflies fly around.
  The Gion River has been selected as one of the 100 best places to see fireflies in Japan and is one of the best places to see fireflies.
  The fireflies dance wildly, sometimes faintly, sometimes strongly, with their slow blinking of light.
  The best feature of the Gion River fireflies is that they fly right up to your eyes.
  You can see fireflies so closely that you can touch them,
  The fireflies in Ogi usually first appear in the Hotaru River in Ogi Park, then in the middle of the Gion River (around Suga Shrine), and as the days go by
  As the days go by, they move upstream.
  At the final destination, Aratani Dam, you can see hundreds of thousands of fireflies dancing in the darkness.
  The fireflies' life comes to an end when their short love affair of about a week is over.

It was selected as one of the 100 best terraced rice paddies in Japan (certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 1999), and one of the Saga Prefecture's legacies to be preserved in the 22nd century (certified by Saga Prefecture in 2008).
  
In late September, red higanbana (cluster amaryllis) flowers decorate the roadsides, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of rice ears and higanbana flowers.
