How about taking a little detour?
There is human warmth, and there is comforting home-cooked food.
There are fresh vegetables, and a sense of nostalgia.
There are chickens, and there are bees.
It may seem like there is nothing — yet, there is something.
“Michikusa” is a farmhouse stay (traditional Japanese house) quietly nestled in the satoyama countryside of Nose, Osaka, where you can enjoy hands-on farming experiences and a traditional Goemon-buro bath.
We are also open for lunch, so even guests who are not staying overnight are welcome to drop by.
We serve stone-oven-baked pizza and dishes made with seasonal, pesticide-free vegetables.
Immerse yourself in Japanese rural life and the rich nature of Nose.
Enjoy a special stay at Michikusa in Nose Jio.
The hosts live in the mountains and enjoy surfing as a hobby.
A surfboard shaping room is also located on the property.
■ The Place Called Nose Jio
Nose Jio, where Michikusa is located, is a historic area that once flourished as a castle town.
Traditional old houses still line the old road, and despite being in Osaka, the area is filled with rich nature and tranquility.
Nearby stands “Noma no Okeyaki,” a nationally designated natural monument said to be over 1,000 years old, preserving the original scenery of rural Japan.
