Stay at a 150-Year-Old Kominka in the Mountains of Okayama
About 60 minutes from Tsuyama Station, this traditional farmhouse sits quietly in the hills of Okayama. Once a grand estate of a wealthy farming family, the home retains its historic charm and elegant atmosphere.
Enjoy a newly added open-air bath set in a peaceful courtyard garden, along with a dry landscape garden and walking paths through bamboo and cedar forests. There's also a grassy BBQ area and a private vegetable field for guests to explore.
Inside, relax by the fireplace, play the piano, and feel time slow down in this beautifully preserved kominka.
The name Kanadeya comes from the house’s original name “Kanedeya,” and it reflects the wish to let your time here create a unique melody of its own.
Meals, experiences, and rental options are available from the optional menu. Infants (0–5) stay for free if they don’t require their own bedding.
