Yakatajima Guesthouse - Private plan for up to 8 people

Yakatajima is a remote island located in southern Oita Prefecture, approximately 10 minutes from Kamae Bay in Saiki City. A small settlement lies at the foot of Mount Ryuo in the center of the island, and the islanders make their living from fishing.

Benzaiten is enshrined at Itsukushima Shrine deep within the settlement, and Mount Ryuo is said to be the site of the Eight Great Dragon Kings.

Unusually for a remote island, the island is blessed with abundant, clean groundwater.

This quiet island is home to a population of 14. Come with an empty mind to experience the island's laid-back atmosphere.

Yakatajima Guesthouse is an empty vessel that welcomes guests to the island. We offer an empty space and a few activities. Come with your imagination.

*There are no shops or restaurants on Yakatajima. Please be sure to bring your own food and beverages.

■About Yakatajima Guesthouse Facilities

□Bedrooms
There are two bedrooms.

[Bedroom 1]
This room, which also doubles as a dormitory, features two bunk beds (maximum 4 people).

Each bed is equipped with a private curtain, lighting, and power outlet.

[Bedroom 2]
This Japanese-style room (maximum 4 people) features futons for sleeping.

□Kitchen
A rice cooker, microwave, gas stove, and basic cooking utensils are provided. You are welcome to use them for cooking during your stay. Tableware is also provided. Please bring your own ingredients, seasonings, and cooking oil.

□Shower Room
The shower room is available 24 hours a day.
Shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a hair dryer are provided.

□Washing Machine
Use of the washing machine (detergent provided) is ¥200 per use.

□Community Space
This space can be used for meals and breaks.

This is the rate for private use. Meals are not provided. This is a room-only rate.
- Rates vary during the high season (July-August).
- Heating and cooling fees are charged during summer (July-September) and winter (November-March). When submitting your reservation request, please request the optional "Heating and Cooling Fee" for the number of guests x number of nights.
