The former Hirohashi Elementary School, which was closed in 1999, has a nostalgic atmosphere.
A house on the site that was originally a teacher's residence was DIY and reborn as a guest house.
Guests are free to use the facilities on the first floor of the school building and the playground. (It is not reserved)
We put firewood in our own firewood and took a bath in Goemon,
From the playground located at an altitude of 500m, you can see the night view and the starry sky (or a sea of clouds if you're lucky!). ）、
Spend a relaxing time in the "Manga Library" where many manga are placed.
Spend some leisurely time in the nostalgic wooden school building.
In the summer, you can have a BBQ outside while listening to the sounds of higurashi and birds.
In winter, relax on the wood-burning stove in the school building. At the guest house, it should be fun to surround the pot with kotatsu!
Wi-Fi is also available, so you can work leisurely.
Enjoy the daily time of "doing nothing" at the elementary school on the mountain.

・The bath is the Goemon bath on the school building side. There is also a hot spring nearby. (10 minutes by car. Until 7 p.m.)
・Meals are not included. (Self-catering, or lunch boxes at a nearby roadside station, etc.) The nearest supermarkets are A Co-op, Okwa, and Life are all 15~20 minutes by car.)
・The toilet will be separated. It is a flush shower toilet.

〜About the former Hirohashi Elementary School〜
The former Hirohashi Elementary School, which we call "Toge no Manabiya", is now an elementary school with a wooden school building, which is rare. Since the school was closed in 1999, it has been used as a place for local sports days, events, and lessons.
Since 2021, the general incorporated association "Toge no Manabiya" has been rented from Shimoichi Town in order to maintain this wonderful building and scenery, and in 2022, the caretaker himself DIY the building that was originally a teacher's residence and reborn it as a guest house.
We would like to use the proceeds from this to pay for the maintenance and management of the elementary school and strive to preserve it for a long time.
