[About Sano Farm]
Sano Farm is a private farmhouse where the hosts have pursued their ideal farm stay, complete with old houses, fields, chickens, and Japanese honey bees.
As you enter the property through a tunnel of trees, you will see an old-fashioned house that was built many decades ago. It's a one-story house with a garden, just like Satsuki and Mei's house in the famous movie Totoro.
[Sano Farm main building]
The exterior is a tasteful old house, and the interior has been moderately renovated and equipped with wi-fi for easy living. If you wish, you can experience various activities such as chopping wood to making a fire.
[Raising chickens]
The hosts take care of the chickens every day, from the egg stage until they hatch and grow into full adults. We are now preparing for a future egg-picking experience.
[Japanese Honey Bee Breeding]
This is one of the rare houses in Japan that raises Japanese honeybees. We also sell honey and offer beeswax wrap-making experiences as well.
[About the experience at Sano Farm]
-Beeswax wrap making (with souvenir): 2,000yen/person
Melt beeswax from Japanese bees collected in your garden with an iron and soak it into cloth to make a wrap.
You can take home the finished product.
Please notify us at the time of reservation if you want to bring your own handkerchief (up to 20cm x 20cm).
[Bathing Hours]
-Bathing hours: 19:00~22:00
The bathtub is a Goemon bath, a Japanese-style cauldron-type bath.
If you wish, you can experience chopping your own wood and making fire to heat up your own bath.
[Recommended ways to spend your time]
