Located in the Iino district of Ebino City, this old private house is full of thick beams and columns, about a 5-minute walk from Ebino Kamie Station.
There are chestnut forests and fields on the grounds of the house, so you can experience farming in Satoyama. In spring, you can experience planting rice in the rice fields you manage, pick up chestnuts in chestnut groves in autumn, take care of chestnut gardens, and take a walk around Satoyama. When you go to Kuriyama or the field, you can also rent boots and straw hats, so you can come in everyday clothes. You can also buy the chestnuts you picked up.
In the immediate vicinity is Katori Shrine, which continues the ancient tradition. During the spring festival in March, various Shinto rituals are held, so it is worth seeing.
The house was renovated 35 years ago, and the beautiful work such as the transom and the floor of ancient Japan is used as it is, and it is possible to spend comfortably. Not only the Japanese-style room of the splendid house, but also a separate building can be used, so it is possible to stay for up to 8 people. You can stay overnight, but if you want to eat, you can cook and eat vegetables from home and a pot made with rice.
It is often said that "the rice of Ebino is delicious" because it is a place where rice is made. Please come to eat delicious rice, experience various harvests, and visit the festival of the shrine.
