★The whistle of the JR Kogota Terminal Station can be heard
at night if you listen carefully.
The station is located at a very short distance from the station's switching station. (The photo shows the event train from
the Kogota Station Kosen-bashi bridge.)

★The inn is an inn for socialising with friends, families and fellow railway enthusiasts who travel slowly on local trains. However, smoking is not permitted inside or outside.

The accommodation is limited to one group or one family.

Currently two rooms (Western-style room A and Japanese-style room D) are in operation.
Each room has a capacity of 2 people (maximum capacity of 6 people).

★Kogota station is a terminal station for the JR Tohoku Main
Line, Rikuu Higashi Line, Ishinomaki Line and Kesennuma Line, with various event trains arriving and departing in all four
seasons.
It is also the first station for local trains and a local train
transfer station.

From the Kesennuma Line, the railway tracks continue along the Minami Sanriku coast, including the Sanriku Railway.
(On the way, the lines that lost their tracks in the Great East
Japan Earthquake are connected by the (BRT) Bus Rapid
Transit system.)

★The countryside here is soothing to the chirping of birds,
such as the Japanese stonechat, in your room.

★The inn is a homestay-type accommodation with the atmosphere of returning home to your parents' house in the
countryside.

It is not a sophisticated accommodation, but the owner can
also stay there on the day, so please talk to him about
anything you don't understand.

★The bathrooms and toilets are shared.

In addition, there are other places nearby such as ‘Kago-bo
Natural Hot Spring Sakura-no-yu’ (11 minutes by car) and
‘Natural Hot Spring Wakuya Tenpei-no-yu’
(17 minutes by car), which we can guide you to.

★The kitchen, dining room and living room are open to
guests.
Student exchange camps and families staying for consecutive nights are free to cook for themselves and bring their own
food and drink.
There are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby.
We hope you will deepen exchanges with your friends and
family.

★Depending on the season, we can organise harvesting and
cooking experiences with butterbur, potatoes, pumpkins,
quince, peaches, etc. in the fields.

★Wakuya Town ‘Tenpyo Roman Museum’.
(8 minutes from Kogota Station on the Ishinomaki Line and 6 minutes by car from Wakuya Station)

The first gold mining site in Japan and a gold mining
experience are available. The site is. It is said to have coloured the Great Buddha of Todai-ji in Nara and Chuson-ji Konjikido in Hiraizumi. (Note that the restaurant is only open on weekends and public holidays.)
Pick-up and drop-off (13 minutes by car) from the private accommodation Hibari House is possible, so please contact us.

★Ishinomori Manga-kan, Ishinomaki City.
(17-minute walk from kogota Station on the Ishinomaki Line - (33 minutes) Ishinomaki Station)

A facility conceived by Miyagi-born Shotaro Ishinomori, manga artist of Cyborg 009, Masked Rider, etc. Children will be
delighted. When you get off at Ishinomaki Station, you will see Cyborg 009's friends standing everywhere in the town.
It is also fun to take a walk from the station to the Manga
Museum.

★Onagawa Town ‘Sea Palpia Shopping Street’
(0 min walk from Kogota Station on the Ishinomaki Line - (70 min) terminal station Onagawa Station)

A rare hot spring facility is located inside Onagawa Station,
where you can relax after a long journey. From the rooftop,
you can see the Sea Palpia shopping street, which has been
restored from the earthquake, leading from the station, and
beyond the shopping street you can see the sea.
You can experience the streets and the Memorial Zone,
which have been reconstructed from the Great East Japan
Earthquake.

★Matsushima Town ‘Matsushima, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan’.
From Kogota Station on the Tohoku Main Line - (37 min),
take a taxi from Matsushima Station (5 min).

Matsushima is one of the three most scenic spots in Japan,
with a simultaneous view of the 260 islands in Matsushima Bay and the Pacific Ocean. A trip around the islands on a
sightseeing boat will be a memorable experience.

Famous for its fireworks display.
There will be traffic restrictions for cars on the day.
We recommend taking the train from the start at Kogota
Station to the end at Onagawa Station.

Ishinomaki Kawabiraki Festival
Many events, including a fireworks display. Last year,
a spectacular drone show was held in the night sky at the

Matsushima Lantern Floating
Fireworks Display
The Zuiganji temple's Great Ceremony for Enshrined Deities
and the tradition of the Lantern Floating Ceremony are
cherished. This is a summer festival in the hometown.
Traffic restrictions apply on the day.

so train travel is recommended.
