春と秋に利用しているこの地の貸別荘でしたが、今回は夏の滞在で「禅ーZEN」は初めて利用させて頂きました。東京より娘夫婦と9ヶ月の赤ちゃんが来て5人で5泊、部屋は広々であり、夏の利用なので全室エアコンがあり快適に過ごすことが条件でしたが、残念ながらその設備の点検掃除が行き届いていませんでした。管理事務所に連絡し対応して頂きました。風呂は温泉で家族全員で入れるくらい広々としています。別荘地内という事でもあり静かな環境でした。

Property Overview
ZEN is a two-story rental villa with a natural hot spring. With a spacious interior of 160㎡, it features a 3LDK layout: the first floor includes a living/dining/kitchen area and bath, while the second floor offers three private bedrooms and a workspace.
1st Floor

Featuring beautiful exposed beams and a cozy sunken kotatsu space. A 7-person dining table completes the area.
– Equipped with 2 air conditioners and 1 FF-type gas heater for year-round comfort.
Kitchen
A fully-equipped system kitchen with a 3-burner gas stove, microwave oven, toaster, rice cooker, and tableware for all guests.
Please bring your own food and seasonings.
Note:
– Hot plate use is prohibited. Please cook only in the kitchen.
– Wash and return all used utensils and dishes to their original location. If any items are damaged, please report it to the Zao Sansuien Office or the Visitor Station.

Accommodation Details
ZEN is a private rental villa accommodating up to 7 guests. Meals are not included in the lodging fee.
– The base rate covers up to 4 guests. Additional fees apply for the 5th guest onward.
Children’s Policy
– No child discount. Children aged 2 and above are charged as adults.
– Children under 2 stay for free (no bedding or towels provided). If bedding is needed, please include them in the number of guests when booking.

– Towel rental (¥330/bath towel) and towel sales (¥220/face towel) available at the check-in location from 7:30–19:00

The villa is in a residential area. Please refrain from outdoor conversations between 20:00 and 7:00. Violations may result in immediate eviction.

ZEN is located within the gated resort community Zao Sansuien. Guests receive a remote control key for the gate upon check-in. Direct access without passing through the gate is not possible.
The villa is about 1 km (3 minutes by car) from the check-in location.
No shuttle or taxi dispatch service is available. Please arrive by car.
BBQ Facility Information
BBQ and fireworks are not allowed within Zao Sansuien.
Guests wishing to BBQ can use Wild.Zao.BBQ, located just 1 minute by car from the gate. Details will be provided after your reservation is confirmed.

A car is necessary for sightseeing, dining, and shopping.
– About 15 minutes by car from Shiroishi IC or Murata IC on the Tohoku Expressway
– About 15 minutes by car from Miyagi-Kawasaki IC on the Yamagata Expressway
– About 30 minutes by car or taxi from Shiroishi-Zao Station (Shinkansen)
Parking
Space for 3 regular-sized cars is available. For 4 or more vehicles, a nearby overflow parking lot will be arranged. Please carpool whenever possible due to limited space in Zao Sansuien.

The Matsukawa River flows through the resort, offering scenic riverside walks with views of the Zao Mountain Range. A pristine stream—home to fireflies and known as the “Village of Whispering Streams”—runs through the grounds, preserving its pure natural beauty.
