Wow wow wow!! Staying with Mary at her house Huttë Momo in the Miyagi prefecture was a massive highlight of our family trip to Japan. Mary was so accommodating to us, the land she lives on has to be experienced.
Mary’s cooking was AMAZING!! おいしい (oishii) Delicious! The house so clean. The beds, super comfy, the shower and toilet clean and comfortable.
Mary took us to her friends house for decorative sushi making, now we can make sushi! Then out for a picnic to a lookout, we did some vegetable harvesting also, Mary used these veges for tea that night. Mary then surprised us with a visit to a cat cafe, we love cats. The next early morning we went making craft in a small village with local ladies. So very special for us all. This stay is a must do! We will remember this visit for ever. Our two kids, 11 and 14 years old, absolutely loved it also. They were so well looked after.
During our stay here we went walking through the small village close to Mary’s house, the fresh air and scenery has to be experienced to be believed. Highly highly recommended this visit.

DESCRIPTION
It is a hutte (mountain hut)-style inn located in a calm satoyama.
Using home-grown and locally produced produce, we will treat you to home-cooked meals learned while living in a Swiss farmhouse, as well as delicious wine and local sake.
In early summer, fireflies dance wildly in the clear stream that flows next to the site, and you can observe the Milky Way, shooting stars, and a sky full of stars.
The owner, who has been engaged in tourism work in Marumori Town for a long time and has a wealth of experience as a guide just before the inn opened, will help you create memories of your special trip.
*Guests who are using the room for 1 person can stay if they pay the fee for 2 people. In that case, the experience and guide fee are included, so there is no need to apply for an option. If you do not use the option, there will be no change in the price.

快適な滞在時間
清潔で、照明もベッドも快適な部屋。ウェルカムドリンクも充実していて、水やお湯も部屋から出ずにいつでも使える。Wi-Fi環境もよく、ゆったりくつろぐにしても、仕事をするにしても、部屋に籠りたくなります。
夕飯のチーズフォンデュはボリューム満点で美味しく、本場の味を満喫しました。他の季節に合わせたお料理も、大満足の美味しさでした。
朝食は洋食をチョイスしましたが、焼き立てパンが美味しくて、洋食にして良かった!!と感じました。スムージーやミネストローネと、自家製野菜もたっぷりで、美味しかったです。
オーナーも親しみやすく、適度な距離感で、また、宿泊したい宿です。

Best homestay imaginable!
I've traveled very extensively, and the time I spent with Mary-san tops the list as one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had. Every moment with Mary, her family and friends were so authentic and thoughtfully crafted. I felt instantly comfortable in her home thanks to her hospitality and warmth. She really thought about the activities I enjoy (namely spending lots of times on farms and meeting local artisans) and found a way to work everything into our few days together. Oh and did I mention she's an incredible chef? Everytime I thought "now this is my favorite meal" she topped it with something even more tasty. I'm so happy I have a new friend because of this experience and truly can't wait to return. If you are traveling in and around Japan, I 110% recommend booking this homestay.

Escape from crowds to countryside Japan
The stay and experience was a huge escape from the noise of the city. Mary-san is a very lovely host who took great care of us in her very neat home. Her cooking skills are amazing and we were served Izakaya menu for dinner and Western style breakfast. She picked us up from the station and took us around in her car. We also visited her friends' farm for a farming experience and left with vegetable gifts. Can't wait to visit again! She speaks good English and communication was easy.

翌日にはオーナーの、まりさんに丸森をプチ観光してもらいましたが、とにかくお人柄が素晴らしくって大満足の旅行となりました。４人恒例で、また違った季節に体験目的で、伺いたいと思っています。
