About "Tousaku Juku" Guesthouse
　Oki Town, located in the south-central part of Mie Prefecture, is blessed with a mild climate.
　Surrounded by deep green mountains and forests, it is an agricultural area of rice paddies and tea fields fed by the clear waters of the Miya River and Osanai River.

　The "Minpaku Tosaku Juku" that we operate is based on the memory of a great man who will be remembered as the father of compulsory education and local government.
　The house was renovated from the birthplace of Mr. Tosaku Ose, a great man who left his name to posterity as the father of compulsory education and local government.
　The house is more than 130 years old and was renovated from the birthplace of Mr. Tousaku Ose, a great man who went from being a substitute teacher to a village mayor at the young age of 34.
　In response to the local people's desire to continue to pass on Ose's ideas to the next generation, we have revitalized this facility as a new place for an exchange called "minpaku".

　The house is rented out as a single building with a large garden.
　The Meiji-era design is nostalgic, and the contrast of light and shadow is a reminder of the beauty of the times.
　Even though it is an old house, the essential water facilities are designed for modern life.
Bathrooms and toilets are equipped for easy accessibility for all guests.

　In addition, we also have a variety of workstation facilities to meet the needs of anyone working from home.

　The rooms are up to 25 tatami mats in size when the sliding doors are removed. It can be used for recreation or for sleeping together in the shape of a river.

　The garden is large, with a stone bridge arch and small stone steps that allow children to challenge themselves to great adventures under the watchful eyes of adults.
　Children can play tag, catch insects, pick flowers, and play with soap bubbles.

　The living room is equipped with a sunken hearth. The warmth of the charcoal fire can be felt even from the eyes.
　The charcoal fire has the power to make people feel calm and at ease to talk.
　Please feel free to use it when talking with others.
　If it is winter, you can grill rice cakes while warming yourself up.
　In winter, you can roast dried fish and serve it as a snack with sake or as a garnish for a meal.
　In spring, grilling young bamboo shoots is also recommended.

　The kitchen has been remodeled from an old dirt floor style kitchen, so it is spacious enough for multiple people to enjoy cooking together in a friendly atmosphere.
　Basic cooking utensils (rice cooker, pots, pans, ladle, etc.), tableware, and cutlery are provided.

　We also have a portable stove, earthenware pot, and hot plate, so it's fun to cook yakisoba and hot pot with everyone.


　As an option, we have a "Garden BBQ Plan" that allows you to enjoy an outdoor BBQ easily.
　This plan includes a BBQ grill and other equipment.
　In this plan, we will prepare BBQ grills and other equipment, as well as local seafood and mountain produce.
　Please come with hungry bellies and enjoy a fun time.

　You can also rent electric bicycles or tandem bicycles and go cycling around satoyama to see the cherry blossoms and wisteria in full bloom.
　You can get healthy and heal your mind at the same time.

　After you have eaten your fill of delicious food and done whatever you want, enjoy the moon and stars in the night sky and rest in your tatami room.
　The silence of the satoyama invites you to have a good sleep.
　The next morning, you will wake up to the sound of birds singing in the garden.

　There is no TV. Forget about the passing of time and feel like you are returning to your parents' home.
　Please spend your time peacefully.
