KAGEYAN NO IE - Old house with lush green terrace

Kageyan-no-Ie is located in Misugi-cho, Tsu City, Mie Prefecture, surrounded by mountains and rich in nature. Behind the house, there is a thickly growing zelkova tree that is over 100 years old, and a stream flows below. The house has a terrace where you can fully enjoy the forest and the murmuring of the stream. Enjoy BBQ on the terrace or take a relaxing walk in the forest.

If you go down to the river, you can enjoy playing in the river and have a bonfire. There is even a waterfall. Forest bathing in the Misugi forest. We hope you will feel nature with your whole body and refresh yourself. We hope you will feel refreshed by nature.

We accept reservations for two persons only. We do not accept reservations for one person.
The basic room rate is for two people staying overnight with no meal included. Meals are not included.
This is not a private house. A caretaker will be on duty during your stay.

About the rooms
This 70 year old house has been renovated to look like a mountain cabin, keeping the quality of a Japanese house. The bath and shower have been renovated. The bath and shower have been remodeled, so everyone can enjoy a comfortable stay.

Bedrooms
Two Japanese-style rooms (6 tatami mats) with a maximum of 6 futon mattresses.
The two rooms (12 tatami mats) can be separated by a fusuma (shoji screen or glass).

Work Room
A Western-style room with a desk and two sofa beds. One to two guests can sleep here.

Terrace
The terrace is surrounded by trees and overlooks a stream. You can freely enter the terrace during your stay. BBQ on the terrace is great when the weather is nice.

BBQ is only allowed in the designated area on the terrace. The owner will guide you on the day.

Remodeled system bath. Please use it freely from check-in to check-out.

Dyeing your hair, taking a bath after drinking alcohol, or leaving the bath water running is prohibited.

A remodeled toilet with a shower.

If you wish to cook for yourself, you can use the mini-kitchen.

■Terms and Conditions
The basic room rate is for two people staying overnight without meals. Meals are not included, and an additional fee will be charged for each additional person starting from 3 persons.
Reservations for one person are not accepted.

Child rate
We have a child rate in addition to the adult rate.

Children's rates are for children of elementary school age and under who use futon bedding. The rate for junior high school students and older is the adult rate.

Children who have not yet entered elementary school are charged at the child rate.
Children who sleep with their parents without futon bedding can stay at the hotel free of charge.

About meals
Meals are available for an extra charge and must be paid locally. Please make a request at the time of reservation or by sending a message to STAY JAPAN after the reservation is confirmed. Please note that we cannot accommodate allergies. Please understand.

Depending on the season, you may be able to harvest vegetables from the vegetable garden. There are times when there are no vegetables available for harvesting. Please inquire in advance.

1) Survival river experience (rain or shine)
Our caretaker will guide you to the river. You will go down the slope in the backyard and get down to the river by a ladder. Make a bonfire and relax in the river. Hammocks, chairs, tables, and accident insurance included. Boots are required to participate. (Boots rental available. (Adults only, 100 yen per person, tax included, payable locally)

You may go to the river by yourself without using the experience option. However, in that case, it will not be covered by the accident insurance. Hammock, chair, and table rentals are available for a fee (1,000 yen per rental, tax included, payable locally).

(2) Relaxation massage while listening to the murmuring of the river
You can experience a relaxing massage on the terrace (60 min.).

No open fires on the terrace.
No noise at night or early in the morning. BBQ and bonfires on the terrace and other outdoor areas must be finished by 21:30. Please be considerate so as not to disturb neighbors.
Pets are not allowed to enter or stay overnight.
