With seismic reinforcement renovations, the kitchen, bathroom, and other facilities have been upgraded for modern comfort, while preserving the warmth and character of a traditional Japanese home.

Mikisato in Owase City is a beautiful coastal village located at the tip of the clover-shaped Kata Bay, home to Mikisato Beach—one of the most scenic beaches in Eastern Mie.
Situated between two historic passes of the UNESCO-listed Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route, this area once thrived as a post town during the Edo period.
Sanjiya is located along this old road, just a 3-minute walk from the beach—close enough to go in your swimsuit.

Originally the home of the host’s parents, the house has been fully renovated with earthquake-resistant upgrades and modernized kitchen, bathroom, and toilet facilities.
It has been reborn as a comfortable accommodation where guests can enjoy an authentic countryside lifestyle experience in Japan.

Just a 1-minute walk away, you can enjoy local cuisine and fresh seafood grilled over charcoal at Satono Chaya.
This restaurant is operated by the host and opens upon reservation.
Highly recommended are the locally caught fish, especially the dried fish, known for its exceptional flavor.
Fishing enthusiasts can even prepare their own catch using the kitchen at Satono Chaya.

Breakfast can also be arranged at Satono Chaya. A Western-style set featuring local Mie ingredients is standard, but Japanese-style meals are available upon request.

For those who prefer not to cook or wish to enjoy regional cuisine, fully prepared meals can also be arranged. Please consult in advance for flexible options.
