When you descend from Mt. Yakiyama, which is said to be the most difficult place on Iseji on the Kumano Kodo, you will see a white beach and pine forest spread out in front of you. Surrounded by the Odai Mountains that close to Kumano Nada, Mikisato is a small, human-scale village within walking distance of the sea, mountains, and rivers. Here you will find the untouched original scenery of Japan, including the old townscape with eaves called gangi, which is unique to this region.
Guest House Yagaya and the Mediterranean restaurant al ralenti were started in March 2022 by a mother who moved from Tokyo and her son who returned from Spain.
We promise you a rich time surrounded by nature overflowing with exquisite Mediterranean cuisine that is particular about Kishu ingredients.
