This is a purely Japanese-style house built 75 years ago.
It has a gabled roof, a traditional roof shape in Japanese architecture that is often seen in castles, shrines, and temples, and much of the woodwork from that time still remains inside the house. And the magnificent Shinto altar is truly a sight to behold.
No major renovations have been made, so this is a house where you can experience old-fashioned Japan.
The high-ceilinged rooms are cool in the summer and warm in the winter with the eastern sunlight, and spring and autumn are particularly comfortable.
It is a place to stay for those who are walking along the Kumano Kodo trail, and for those who enjoy fishing in Kata Bay in front of the house, those who enjoy the beaches at Miki-sato and Arashika, and those who enjoy sightseeing at Ise Shrine and Nachi Taisha by car.
There are two bedrooms (8 tatami mat Japanese-style room + 6 tatami mat Japanese-style room).
You are free to bring your own food and drinks.
If you need meals,
we will prepare Japanese meals for you for an additional 6,600 yen per person, including dinner and breakfast.
The toilets are simple flush toilets (renovated in 2024).
You can park one car for free.
