DESCRIPTION
The renovation of this kyo-machiya was inspired by thebook In Praise of Shadows. This house plays with the filtered light of the shojis. Its beauty was reborn thanks to a highly skilled carpenter and high quality materials, from the tatamisto the washi paper. It als has a unique indoor zen tsuboniwa. It is a one storey house suitable for up to 4 guests, as per the official license. The neighbourhood is quiet and residential and few steps away from the temple Mibu Dera, in the district of the shinsengumis. Welcome to Kyoto!
