= A Stay Connected to Everyday Life in Ei =
Located in a quiet village in Ei Town, Minamikyushu City, Kagoshima Prefecture,
“Fukunoya,” is a private rental accommodation renovated from a 70-year-old traditional Japanese house.
With its cozy, grandmother’s-home-like atmosphere,
you can enjoy a peaceful time away from the busyness of daily life.
The delicious flavors of Ei, the farmland scenery we wish to preserve forever.
Through running a comfortable inn, we share a little of the happiness felt by the people who live in Ei.
Please enjoy Ei in your own way in this quiet environment.
Facilities and amenities may feel slightly less convenient compared to hotels or ryokan.
However, we will welcome you with heartfelt hospitality to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible ◎
We aim to be a place that serves as a gateway to the everyday life, work, and people of Ei.
For those who think, “I’d like to visit Ei someday,” we hope to become the push that makes you say, “Let’s go!”
And for those who have visited many times, we hope to become the reason you think, “Let’s go again.”
We hope “Fukunoya,” can be such a place.
A calmer time than usual.
A richer version of yourself than usual.
【About Ei Town】
Ei Town in Minamikyushu City, located about one hour by car from Kagoshima City,
lies in the southern part of the Satsuma Peninsula and is a quiet town surrounded by sea, mountains, and farmland.
Across the sea, Mount Kaimon—also known as the “Satsuma Fuji”—stands majestically, offering changing views throughout the day.
The town once prospered through trade, and historic districts with stone walls still remain.
Nearby, you can find the tea fields of Chiran, and with a short drive, you can also reach Ibusuki Onsen and the Chiran Samurai Residences.
It is an ideal environment for a calm stay, slightly removed from the bustle of major tourist destinations.
Surrounded by the East China Sea and endless tea fields,
the town is beautifully matched with clear blue skies.
The people here live gently in harmony with nature.
In early summer, the fresh green tea leaves sparkle in the sunlight,
and in winter, rows of pure white radishes appear.
It is a place where you can truly feel the changing of the seasons.
In recent years, community-wide tourism development based on collaboration between agriculture and tourism has also been gaining attention.
