Have your fill of hands-on cooking and agriculture experiences in a dear, old-style Japanese house
■Country Life■
Our old-style Japanese home was built over 70 years ago in the Tsuchibuchi area, known for its abundance of memorable stories. It’s located in Tono, a rural town from folklore. There’s a complete and total Japanese feel, which is hard to experience in modern day, where the blending of Western and Japanese styles has become mainstream. The main accommodation is a large room which, in the past, has been used for receiving and welcoming guests and hosting familial ceremonies. We’ve restored the open corridor ourselves and dearly treasured this home that our ancestors left for us.
■Food ~ Tasting Nature■
You’ll harvest, cook, and eat vegetables grown by our own members. These 3 crucial acts for self-sufficiency will be felt throughout your body, mind, and heart. You can have an active trip in Tono, enjoying things that you normally couldn’t from just staying somewhere and going sightseeing. It’s a trip where you will be steeped in Tono’s scenery, feel nature, eat food special to the countryside, and spend time with the people of Tono. Together let’s have experiences that you wouldn’t usually have!
Our food uses rice and vegetables taken from our own fields, so you can eat with peace of mind.
