A 125-year-old farmhouse renovated using traditional construction methods.
Nestled at the foot of Mt. Hayachine, one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains, surrounded by vineyards and farmland.

We accept reservations for exclusive use of the entire property, limited to one group per day.
Accommodates up to 10 guests.

It is often used as a base for trips to Tohoku by groups of classmates, colleagues, or multiple families.
Relax and unwind together in the spacious surroundings.
Of course, solo travelers are also welcome to book the entire house.

This house has no television.
While it offers a break from daily life, being the only guests allows it to feel like an extension of home.
The word “tama” (泊) in Japanese means a place where boats anchor.
We hope your stay here will help you create a new day filled with fresh feelings.

Meals are not provided.
The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils and tableware for your use.
Salt, sugar, soy sauce, and salad oil are provided free of charge. If cooking, please bring any additional ingredients or seasonings you need.
Please bring your own food and beverages.
Two supermarkets are located about 8km (approx. 10 minutes by car) away. The nearest convenience store is about 3km away.

Wines, ciders, and grape juices are available in the kitchen for purchase.
Please enjoy them and settle your bill upon departure. They also make great souvenirs.
In autumn, you can taste freshly harvested grapes.

＜Kagura Room＞
A high-ceilinged room with a wood-burning stove, designed to accommodate performances of the local Hayachine Kagura dance.

＜Irori Room＞
Use this room as a dining area and relaxation space.

＜South Bedroom＞
5-tatami mat room with bed; sleeps 1-2
This corner room is bright and pleasant with many windows. The cedar flooring is comfortable, making it suitable for reading or work even during the day.

＜Bedroom: Middle Room＞
7.5-tatami mat Japanese-style room. Sleeps 1-3.
Located between other rooms, making it ideal as a bedroom. Greenery is visible from the window.

＜Bedroom: North Room＞
10-tatami mat Japanese-style room. Sleeps 1-5.
A tatami room featuring a plaster wall and a tokonoma alcove. Characterized by grape-patterned shoji doors, creating a calming space.

＜Kitchen＞
Refrigerator, freezer, gas stove, rice cooker, microwave, cooking utensils, tableware ※As this is a self-catering accommodation, please bring your own necessary ingredients. Some ingredients are also sold at the on-site direct-from-producer grape shop.

＜Gallery＞
Looking up at the ceiling here, you can see the inside of the thatched roof. This space can be used for exhibitions or solo shows.

Rooms do not have locks; please manage your valuables yourself.
Smartphone (mobile phone) reception is weak and may be difficult in some areas. Wi-Fi is available.

As this is a traditional Japanese house, we use a wood-burning stove in winter, but sweaters or fleece jackets are necessary indoors. In summer, mornings and evenings are cool in this area, and the house has the characteristic coolness of an old folk house, but there is no air conditioning; only fans are available.

▼About the Host
We run a grape farm and the Kamegamori Winery. We've lived in Iwate for about 20 years. Including my university years, I've spent about 25 years studying and farming in Iwate. I work in the vineyards through all four seasons and handle winemaking at the winery.
I started this inn in May 2024 hoping to introduce more people to Iwate as a wine region and share its enjoyment and charm. I would be delighted if you come to stay and feel right at home here.
