About Kozue, an old private house
Located in the center of the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture is the town of Shika-Cho.
During the Genpei period, this was the place where the Heike clan fell.
With the influx of people from the capital, many cultures and crafts were introduced.
The legend of Minamoto no Yoshitsune's escape is still alive in our daily lives.
There is also a legend of Minamoto no Yoshitsune's fall from grace.
It has become a tourist attraction.
The area is also rich in the blessings of both the mountain and the sea.
In the sea of Tonoura, you can catch squid, sweet shrimp, and snow crab.
In the countryside, wild vegetables sprout in the spring, fresh vegetables, and fruits grow one after another in the summer and the fall.
In the autumn, golden ears of rice hang down their heads and persimmons change color.
These outstanding agricultural, forestry, and marine products and the natural environment, together with the traditional crafts of the region and the inheritance of traditional culture and customs, have been highly valued.
These excellent agricultural, forestry, and marine products, as well as the natural environment, have been recognized as a World Agricultural Heritage site.
We, Kozue Farm Stay, are grateful for this blessing as we go about our daily lives. We hope to pass on to future generations the way of life that our ancestors preserved.
