About Hoshihara Yama School
Ever wanted to stay at school?
Hoshihara Mountain School is an exchange and accommodation facility surrounded by a rich hometown at an altitude of about 450 meters, which was partially renovated from the abandoned wooden school building of Miyoshi Municipal Ueda Elementary School.
You can stay in the classroom of a closed school.
At night, the sky is so close, you can even enjoy stargazing! In the fall, you can enjoy the experience of being in a sea of clouds! Anyone can use the school building for overnight stays or day trips, and it can also be used for events.
The "Furusato Nature Experience School" is held throughout the year, so there is plenty to experience!

Hirata Kanko Farm (5 minutes by car)
-At Hirata Kanko Nouen, you can pick seasonal fruits throughout the year! You can enjoy the most delicious ripe fruits of each season! There are 15 different kinds of fruits and more than 150 varieties of each kind of fruit.
You can try your hand at dyeing and making sweets.
Miyoshi Winery (about 15 minutes by car)
This is a facility where you can observe the wine-making process and do wine tasting.
The winery harvests Pinot Noir, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and other grapes are grown on its farm and carefully brews them.
In addition to the free tasting corner, there is also a facility called "TOMOÉ-kan," where high-quality TOMOÉ series wines are served in original glasses for a fee. The TOMOÉ series is 100% Miyoshi-grown wine made from high-quality grapes grown in Miyoshi's soil, climate, topography, and other geographical conditions, and has won numerous awards at wine competitions in Japan and abroad.
On the premises, there is a wine specialty center where you can find not only wine but also local specialties, as well as a barbecue garden (indoor and outdoor) where you can enjoy Hiroshima beef and Miyoshi wine.

Japanese Monster Museum About 30 minutes by car
- In April 2019, Japan's first museum of Yokai (ghosts), the Goichi Yumoto Memorial Museum of Japanese Yokai (Miyoshi Mononoke Museum), was established in Miyoshi City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
The museum displays the "Inou Mononoke Roku," a yokai story set in Miyoshi City's Miyoshi Town, as well as other yokai materials, mainly from the collection of ethnologists and yokai researchers Goichi Yumoto. There is also an amusement zone, "TeamLab Yokai Amusement Park," where visitors can learn about yokai while playing. With interactive exhibits such as "Drawing Yokai and People," both children and adults can have fun. In the same premises as the Japan Yokai Museum, there is the Miyoshi Area Culture and Tourism Town Development Exchange Center, where visitors can relax and enjoy themselves, as well as a store selling Miyoshi's specialties and a restaurant, Mononoke Dining.
Bikoku Hillside Park About 40 minutes by car
Bikoku National Hillside Park consists of seven areas:
Naka-no-hiroba, Hibano-no-sato, Hana-no-hiroba, Dai-so-hiroba, Tsudoi-no-sato, Minori-no-sato, and Ikoi-no-mori.
The four themes of "seeing," "playing," "experiencing," and "eating" can be experienced in the various areas. In addition, events are held in the park according to the four seasons, and the park is crowded with tourists during the event season. In particular, the flower plaza, which covers an area of about 1.5 hectares and is filled with flowers, is a spectacular sight and attracts attention as an Instagram spot.
