Built in 1926, this traditional Japanese house was once a midwifery clinic where many locals were born. After careful renovations by local craftsmen, "On-ya" opened in December 2022. The first floor features an izakaya restaurant serving local sake and delicious dishes made with local ingredients. The interior, themed around homelike relaxation and community, is filled with a retro Showa-era atmosphere. All rooms are private and equipped with internet access, TVs, air conditioners, refrigerators, air purifiers, and other household appliances. Long-term stays are also possible. Located in the heart of the tourist spot (Kinkotsu Meguri) in Kanayama-cho, Gero City, the inn is close to nearby hot spring facilities, the station, hospitals, police stations, a 24-hour convenience store, and a drugstore, making it extremely convenient and relatively affordable for a room-only stay in Gero City.
