●Concept of MITSUKINO
A spacious open-ceiling retreat inspired by moonlit nights
This room is a renovated 120+ year-old traditional barn, preserving its original earthen walls and rustic charm.
The name MITSUKINO comes from “Mitsukino Stream,” flowing midway up Mount Koyo behind the village, poetically associated with the full moon.
Historically, the village used natural spring water, and today drinking water is sourced from this same stream.
The first floor features a large entrance hall, an open-ceiling living and dining space (wood flooring + tatami area), and a restroom. The second floor includes a bath, vanity area, and bedroom.
The dramatic earthen walls and open layout evoke the spirit and history of the village.
Ideal for families or groups, offering a relaxing and spacious atmosphere.
Enjoy a peaceful countryside stay, perfect for remote work, slow travel, or a Japan cultural retreat.
