Come stay at our beautiful guesthouse in the Hills near Nihonmatsu City! We welcome travelers from all around the world who wish to get a taste of country living and enjoy a bunch of unique activities! We love to interact with our guests and your stay includes 2 free meals per day as well as the chance to drink with your hosts.

The space
The origin of our home name is from being located in the "hill (small hill)" of the area of Sakai. At the foot of such hills are fields that grow all sorts of crops, from vegetables to wild plants and fruits.
For meals, you can enjoy our signature dishes that use plenty of fresh, local ingredients, including vegetables, rice and eggs from our farm.
The experience we offer is not only agricultural experience but also information on walk routes where you can enjoy the Minamata area and starry sky observation. A good-faithed dad talks with gag.
Please come to "Sakai Hill" where you can enjoy nature with five senses while having a drink and talking with a cheerful father and a slightly natural mother!

Japanese-style room 8 tatami 1 room (up to 4 people)

## MEALS
Breakfast/ dinner is included.
You can enjoy dishes using local vegetables and vegetables from our farm.
We offer a small amount so as not to be full of stomach, but welcome those who have a big appetite ♪
※ If you have allergies, please let us know in advance.
Beer, wine, whiskey and shochu (Japanese sake) are also available. If you want to drink a lot, it is okay to bring your own.
## BATH TIME
We have a special arrangement for guests to bath at a nearby bath house called "Woody House Towa". The bath house is just a 5 min drive from the accommodation and we will take you there if you don't have a car. There is no bathing fee, as you will receive a bathing pass.
Bathing time: 8 AM to 8 PM
NOTE: Because the bath house closes at 8 PM, we recommend bathing before dinner.

## EXPERIENCES
① Agricultural Experience
Harvest of seasonal vegetables etc. The work differs depending on the time.
Make sure to wear comfortable clothes for the experience.

② Satoyama walk
Overlooking hill route: Route of approximately 1.5km (about 45 minutes on foot) where Mt. Adachi can overlook
Rural inter-forest route: A route of about 2.3 km where you can enjoy the idyllic Satoyama scenery (about 1 hour and 10 minutes on foot)
③ Starry sky observation
We will guide you to the spot where the starry sky looks beautiful.
In addition, if there is a place to go for a walk or in the area, we will inform you so please contact us.

ホストのお父さんが陽気な方で、お喋りもお上手。さかいヒルさんがある「水舟地区」の歴史についてや、どんな風に工夫して民泊を盛り上げてきたのかなど、地域の話をたくさん聞かせてもらうことができました。
また、ちょっと天然なお母さんとのボケとツッコミの会話にほっこりしました。
季節にもよると思いますが、今回出していただいたお食事は、お魚以外ほとんど自家製の作物を使って作られたものでした。ご飯や卵、はちみつまで自家製という贅沢さ！ごちそうさまでした。
「お腹いっぱいになりすぎないよう、最初は少なめに盛り付けている」というお母さんの気遣いもすごく嬉しかったです（お腹いっぱいでも、出された分だけ食べちゃうので…）。
近くにはお散歩コースがあり、リクエストがあればお父さんが案内してくれます。私は田園林間ルートを選びましたが、見晴らしの丘ルートは、晴れていると近くの山々が綺麗に見れるので良さそうです。
