About the Property
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, is a town packed with charms—from the sea and mountains to hot springs and local gourmet food. Located near the historic Iwaki Yumoto Onsen district, this 60-year-old traditional house was beautifully renovated and opened in November 2024 as an exclusive, one-group-per-day vacation rental.
While many areas have been fully modernized for your comfort, we have intentionally preserved the original pillars and wooden doors to retain its historic charm. We believe that accommodation shouldn't just be clean—it should have character. That is the philosophy behind "Goen." Please enjoy a wonderful day in this unique private space where old meets new.
Of course, compared to modern houses, there may be small gaps in the fittings or slightly uneven floors. However, we consider this rustic authenticity part of the house's charm. We hope you will experience the nostalgic yet refreshing atmosphere of traditional Japanese architecture that cannot be found in everyday modern life.
