Tarou's House: a private accommodation

This retro Showa-era house is perfect for private rent, and will make you feel like you're back at grandma's house.
With two parking spaces, a 4-minute walk from JR Togo Station, and a 1-minute walk from a large supermarket, it's a convenient base for long-term stays or sightseeing.
Condiments and cooking utensils are provided.
You can also enjoy barbecues in the garden.
A full BBQ set (including 3kg of charcoal) is available for rental for an additional fee.

The Togo area where the inn is located is home to many delicious family-run restaurants, including yakitori shops, izakayas, cafes, and hamburger shops.
Sightseeing to Munakata Taisha Shrine, Chinkokuji Temple (Temple of Flowers), and Munakata Roadside Station is also convenient. It's also easily accessible by bicycle.
Yamatsubasama, a hot spring recommended by a Finnish guest who visited it 20 times, is just a 5-minute drive away. (Free shuttle bus available from the station)

*As of April 2020, a 200 yen accommodation tax will be charged per person per night in Fukuoka Prefecture.
Accommodation
My grandfather, Taro Miyamoto, built this house about 50 years ago.
I inherited the house in 2017 and started a guesthouse, naming it Tarou's House in gratitude to my grandfather.

With the exception of the bathroom, the nostalgic atmosphere of the past has been preserved.
The kitchen is bright and spacious, fully equipped with cooking utensils and seasonings. There is also a simple herb garden outside the back door.
There are five air conditioners, but the breeze coming in from the garden allows for good ventilation, so it's cool even with the windows open.
The bathroom was renovated in March 2021.
The toilet is equipped with a TOTO washlet.
We have renovated a room on the second floor into a workation room. It is equipped with basic office amenities such as a printer, whiteboard, height-adjustable standing desk, air conditioning, and air purifier.
We have a large garden, where we devote ourselves to gardening every day. In front of the veranda is a brick-paved terrace where you can enjoy BBQs and other activities.
