TSUBASA International guesthouse(翼宿)

​The name "Tsubasajuku" (Tsubasajuku Guesthouse) shares the same pronunciation as the word for "Art" in Taiwanese Mandarin. It also embodies the meaning of "a sanctuary for travelers who courageously spread their wings and fly toward their dreams." We are an international, community-integrated exchange guesthouse that proudly supports the arts (room-only accommodation).
​Our location is highly accessible. You can take a direct Showa Bus highway bus from either Tenjin or Hakata Station. After getting off at the "Kamari Higashiguchi" bus stop, it is just a 5-minute walk to our guesthouse. Free parking is available nearby, and we also provide complimentary rental bicycles so you can fully explore and enjoy the charms of Itoshima!
This guesthouse is independently owned and operated by Q-chan, a female owner originally from Taiwan. In 2025, she relocated to Itoshima along with her husband, who is originally from Hokkaido.
As a former travel journalist, Q-chan holds professional licenses as a "Kyushu Regional Guide-Interpreter" and a "Domestic Travel Service Manager." Not only is she well-versed in local insider tips for Itoshima, but she can also provide expert travel advice for Kyushu and the rest of Japan. Additionally, her husband operates an organic farm here in Itoshima (OKA FARM). If you love fresh, locally grown produce, you can purchase seasonal vegetables and processed goods directly on-site!
