Usual Resort Keyanz — A lovingly renovated 90-year-old home, just a 3-minute walk to the sea, a 10-minute stroll to Totoro Forest, and only an hour from Fukuoka Airport or Hakata Station.

The house features a Kamado Room and an attic room, offering a unique, nostalgic atmosphere. Cooking rice in the kamado room and enjoying the planetarium in the attic room are big favorites with the kids!

＜Two Bathrooms!＞
In addition to a bathroom with a bathtub, there is also a tiled shower room. There are also two toilets with bidet showers.

＜Japanese Garden Renovation!＞
We renovated it into a slightly modern Japanese garden with hedges and a chozubachi (stone water basin)! It’s a wonderfully soothing space.

＜Fully Equipped Facilities!＞
You can cook in a modern kitchen with plenty of appliances, cookware, and tableware. A free washer and gas dryer make long stays easy. Each room also has air conditioning and heating (6 units total).

＜Perfect for Workations!＞
Equipped with a projector, screen, and whiteboard (available for a fee). Free high-speed Wi-Fi (334 Mbps) is also available.


□□About the Property□□

*The main house, about 200 m² with 7 rooms, is available for exclusive use.

*The maximum number of guests is 10 (excluding children under 2). Children aged 2 and over are charged the same as adults.

*Although it is a traditional house, the kitchen, bathrooms, and toilets are equipped with modern facilities for your comfort. Three air purifiers are also provided.

*The bedroom has two single beds. Up to 8 guests can sleep on futons in the Japanese-style rooms.

*Meals are not included. Please enjoy cooking in the kitchen, which is equipped with cooking appliances, basic seasonings, cookware, and tableware. The system kitchen has a built-in IH stove, fish grill, dishwasher, and a sink with a water purifier.

*A portable gas stove (with gas canisters), grill plate, hot plate, shabu-shabu/mizutaki pot, and sukiyaki pot are also provided—perfect for enjoying meals together with your own ingredients.

*Bath towels, hand towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothbrush sets, hairbrushes, shower caps, razors, hair dryers, tissues, slippers, and bedding (duvets) are provided. (Please note: no yukata robes.)

*Parking for 2 standard cars is available behind the main house. For a third car or larger vehicles, please use the parking lot located about a 2-minute walk away.


□□Experiences & Services □□

*In the Kamado Room, you can cook rice over a traditional wood fire (additional fee). The host will assist with fire safety. Please bring your own rice and other ingredients.

*Enjoy a charcoal BBQ on the covered terrace (additional fee). The host will handle the fire preparation. Guests only need to bring ingredients.

*You can enjoy a campfire in the designated area.
A fire pit and firewood set are available for rent (for a fee).

*A spacious attic room is available free of charge. It includes a planetarium, hammock, and leg massager.

*Basic seasonings and cooking oil are provided. Complimentary ground coffee and Japanese tea are also available.

In Itoshima, having a car is by far the most convenient way to get around. We recommend coming by your own car or renting one.

◆Train - Take the Subway Airport Line and get off at Chikuzenmaebaru Station on the JR Chikuhi Line, which operates a direct connection.
・Fukuoka Airport Station → Chikuzenmaebaru Station (about 47 minutes)
・Hakata Station → Chikuzenmaebaru Station (about 42 minutes)
・Tenjin Station → Chikuzenmaebaru Station (35 minutes)

◆Bus/Taxi from Chikuzenmaebaru Station
・From the North Exit, take the Keya Line bus to the Keya Koubaiten bus stop (approx. 30 minutes from the station) - 3-minute walk to Keyanz.
・From the North Exit, take a taxi to Keyanz (about 15 minutes).

◆Car
・From Nishi Kyushu Expressway (Fukuoka Maebaru Road) Maebaru Interchange, 20 minutes by car to Keyanz.
※It takes about 1 hour from Fukuoka Airport or Hakata Station to Keyanz by car. (Expressway use)

◆Taxi ※Highway use.
・Fukuoka Airport → Keyanz (60 mins, 14,000 yen)　
・Hakata Station → Keyanz (55 mins, 13,000 yen)
・Tenjin Station → Keyanz (50 mins, 12,000 yen)


□□Area information□□

* “Kaki Goya” (Oyster Hut) at Kishi is a 6-minute drive from the accommodation. Open from October to late March.

* “Tateishi Mountain,” elevation 209.6 meters, offers easy hiking and spectacular views from the summit.

* “Keya Beach” is known for its clear water and is selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Beautiful Beaches.

* “Keya no Oto” is the largest of Japan’s three major columnar basalt caves. Sightseeing boat tours are also available.

* “Totoro’s Forest” is the nickname for the walking trail from Oto Park to Oto Observatory.

* “Keya Ryokan District” has restaurants serving sushi, seafood bowls, and other local cuisine to enjoy Keya’s gourmet food.

* “Nigi no Hama” is a representative coastline of Genkai Quasi-National Park, popular among surfers.

* “Itoshima Picnic Village” offers exquisite seafood bowls made with fresh local seafood. The seafood rice bowl (kaisen-don) at Irori is superb.

* “Itoshima Kitchen Palette” features a main yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant along with seafood bowls, fried chicken, curry, and more.

In addition, there are burger stands, hot dog shops, gelato shops, and many other spots attracting numerous tourists. Fishing and golf are also available nearby.
