Once home to a former vice mayor, this historic residence has been thoughtfully preserved and now welcomes guests.
Step through the entrance and you are welcomed by a quiet space filled with the scent of wood.
The five rooms in the main house, a kura building suitable for music, meetings, and workshops, and a spacious garden for BBQs —
the entire property is yours to enjoy in complete privacy.

We offer five unique spaces, each with its own character and atmosphere.
⚫︎Hinoki Room — A Western-style bedroom featuring a private bathroom and a small kitchenette. Ideal for those seeking a quiet and private stay.
⚫︎Ki Room — A warm Japanese-style tatami room surrounded by hinoki wood. Futons can be laid out to accommodate up to six guests.
⚫︎Horiko Room — A calm space with a traditional sunken kotatsu table. Perfect for breakfast or relaxed conversation.
⚫︎Washi Room — A Japanese-style dining space with a serene atmosphere. Amazon Prime Video and Netflix are available.
⚫︎Moriyama Room — The largest tatami room in the house. Suitable for yoga sessions, workshops, or gathering together.

At Aoba-an, we warmly welcome student clubs and private groups for retreats and training camps.
We can accommodate groups of around 10 guests. One booking at the time. We can also arrange rental bikes, guided hiking, yoga, art experience, and special lectures, wakasa-wan culinary experience.
We are happy to discuss arrangements based on your group’s purpose and needs.
