【Property Features】
Opened in February 2018 as a farmhouse guest house. Located at the foot of the mountain near Takefu Station, on the most mountainous slope of the village. It is a 70-year-old old private house, built by the father of the inn's owner, Mr. Takaki Nakamura.
Takaki worked for a travel agency before setting up on his own, and now runs a tour company while growing rice. The office is located in a corner of the guest house. His tours sometimes specialize in outdoor activities such as mountain climbing in Japan, and he also guides visitors to nearby Hinoyama and Murakuni Mountain as part of the minshuku's experience.
While the land is lush and green with mountains behind it, it is also conveniently close to the main road. A convenience store is a 5-minute bike ride away, and you can bring your own meals.
Takaki has many hobbies, and buckwheat noodle making is one of them. Echizen grated buckwheat noodles made from freshly made buckwheat is a popular meal.
The official name of the guest house is Nakamuraya, but its nickname is Dokuraku. Dokuraku is a spinning top that used to be a toy for children. Life goes on, spinning round and round, not knowing where it is going or when it will stop... It is a rather tasteful nickname.
【Interior design with special attention to detail】
There is a pond in the garden, and the floor plan is a traditional "tano-ji" shape, surrounded by a corridor. The hallway is surrounded by a corridor. The house is airy and has large windows. The entrance space is quite spacious, with high ceilings and a sense of openness. The wood carvings on the transoms, shoji screens, and fusuma screens also add to the atmosphere of the house, giving a sense of the traditional rural way of life.
