Experience an open air bath, pizza making in a stone kiln, staying warm with a wood-burning stove, and organic vegetable picking in this 140-year-old Japanese-style house!
Surrounded by mountains of up to 700m in height, hiking is also possible.
A unique accommodation located in the lush mountain village, where you can immerse yourself in Japan's traditional rural lifestyle and and spacious landscape. Feel welcomed by the warm smiles of the host family and gain insight about Japan from their stories.

Whilst you are there you may want to note down the recipe!

I highly recommend this farm stay.
Watanabe-san and his wife gave me such an amazing experience. I really enjoyed the lovely meals that they prepared for us. Their traditonal house is around 140 years old! What a unique accommodation! But it is very well maintained and has been updated with modern amenities. A very comfortable place to stay. I especially enjoyed the nice hot bath outdoors. Also, the garden tour was another great experience. Knowing that they grow most of their own vegetables and fruits was a huge positive for me. Most importantly, the hosts are a truly lovely couple. Watanabe-San stories and pictures about their travels around Japan we’re very interesting. He loves to hike and seeks out onsens, hot springs, around Japan. I now have some ideas for my future trips. Lastly, I was happy to buy the umeboshi, sour plums, and umeshu, plum wine, that his wife prepared. Excellent farm stay experience!

wonderful hosts.
The homestay experience was a great experience that allowed me an even deeper look into Japanese culture, especially culture within the Japanese countryside. Mr. Watanabe and his heavenly wife were wonderful hosts and I was really able to learn about them and their family. I really enjoyed the warm atmosphere in there home and the little touches like the outside bath that Mr. Watanabe built himself.
