About "Yamafutokoro(Heart of mountain) Kobo(Workshop)"
"Yamafutokoro Kobo" is a hands-on farmhouse guest house located in a small village in the mountains of Echizen.
I have been involved in creative activities such as dyeing, clothing making, Ippan-cho, space design, etc., and I am now looking for a place where I can experience the warmth of the nature and the people who live there,
I was attracted by the harsh but gentle nature of the satoyama of Ichinonono and the warmth of the people who live there, and moved to an old private house as my starting point.
It has become an interesting space where my friends who agreed with my wish to pass on the beautiful and wonderful culture of Japan to the next generation and the next generation after that, while practicing it in their own lives and fusing it with modern culture, planned and gave shape to their tremendous ideas that transcended genres and were either tremendously large scale or incredibly fun. The event became an interesting space where people could plan and give shape to their tremendous ideas.
We want to serve our local cuisine.
To taste delicious handmade miso.
I want to learn about Japanese food, chopstick culture, and eating manners, and I want to pass them on.
We don't want to let the traditional craft of IKKANBARI, which is the pride of our hometown, die out.
These thoughts have spread throughout the country in a large circle,
Many people, young and old, men and women, gathered to discuss their dreams and hopes.
The smiles on everyone's faces proved to me that nature and the experience of living in a satoyama can heal people's hearts, and pushed me forward to the next stage of my activities.
In 2019, the farmhouse guest house "Yamafutokoro Kobo" was born.
Surrounded by mountains and forests, this area is rich in nature,
In the summer, red grosbeaks and brown-headed grosbeaks are seen, and in the fall, bellbirds and korogi are seen. In early summer, fireflies dance gracefully in the jet-black darkness. In midsummer, a fresh breeze blows in from the mountains, and the Milky Way flows through the star-filled sky. In winter, the mountains are covered with more than one meter of snow, but we hope you will enjoy sharing your dreams and hopes around the peaceful warmth of the hearth and wood stove while gazing out at the silver world.
