DESCRIPTION
Welcome to Namekawa, a small village of the hidden gorge in the Japanese countryside.
You will stay at an authentic Japanese house set right next to a quiet creek in the beautiful nature.House descriptions:
Half of the one-story building is our space as a host, and the other half is yours as a guest. You will have complete privacy at home, and the only shared space with us is the outside garden. Due to the structure of the building, you might hear our daily sounds when we are home, but we promise it won’t be a bother for you.
Our house is located in a rich natural environment, so please understand that sometimes it’s easy for insects to come inside of the house.
*Tatami room (8 tatami mats in the main room)
Toys, kids books, comic books, and various books are available for you to read.
Please use our futon in the tatami room when you sleep at night. (We will change the bed sheets only for those who stay more than 3 nights.)
*Shower room
Towels, shampoo, body soap, and a hair dryer are provided. (A hot spring is 15 minutes away by car)
*Garden
BBQ is available.
A barbecue set is available for rent for 2000yen. Please let us know when you want to use it beforehand.
*We have a survival Japanese BBQ menu. Please make a reservation with us if you are interested. For details, please see the website (search for “Escale Namekawa”).
*Compost toilet
We keep our house to be environmentally friendly. We use a compost toilet in our restroom.
*Smoking is not allowed in any rooms.
*Please try to be quiet at night, as there are private residences in the neighborhood.

*As the inn is located in a lush natural setting, insects can easily enter the building.
*There is an unmanned vegetable stand and vending machines near the inn, but we recommend doing some shopping beforehand.
The nearest supermarket (Marunaka Kawauchi Branch) is about a 15-minute drive away. There is also a coin laundry next to the supermarket.
